Cont: Corona Virus Conspiracy Theories Part IV

If there's one thing I've learned in life... it's that facts never taught me nothing! And verifiable, observable ones is the worst!

That is actually an homage to a movie (not one of major acclaim, though) quote...slightly reworded to fit this thread's context.

Is it that you genuinely don't remember what you posted, or is this some kind of weird performance art thing?

If it was performance art, there would be a 55 gallon drum of tuna blood. That seems like the sort of thing you'd need for performance art. I can't really put my finger on why.

Lee Rockwell? Seriously?

There is a strong relationship between the current covid is a hoax arguments being presented by a particular person and propaganda from the Ron Paul Institute that claims Covid-19 is a hoax. Lew Rockwell worked for Ron Paul's periodicals offering financial advice to preppers until Ron Paul was banned from social media for spreading Covid-19 misinformation.

As I received a month's suspension for going into more detail previously, I will leave it at that.

His dumb-**** son has been angling towards that dumb-**** CT in the Senate with his lies and unfounded attacks on Tony Fauchi. Its reached the point now where Ron Paul has actually called Fauchi a liar, in the Senate (so much for Senate decorum) but in reality, its Paul's only available response because time and again, Fauchi has demolished Paul's CT BS with facts.

Unh-uh.

Orthodox Covidism is the currently popular mass-movement religious substitute, and to question it is heresy according to its True Believers.

Well, that may be true, but that has no relevance on this forum. There are plenty of questions being asked- if you'd spent any time on the Science forum here, you would know that. No-one says these questions are heresy. Quite the opposite, in fact: they are the life-blood of this forum, and a cornerstone of scientific scepticism.

I notice that you yourself do not respond terribly well to questions. You have a tendency to ignore them, or to deflect them, or to respond with copy-and-paste screeds of previously addressed material. There is a good deal of comparison between this approach and that of the various religious fundamentalists that turn up here from time to time: heydarian sayeed is one obvious example.

However, this situation is easily remedied. Just answer the numerous questions you have run away from, or just admit that no-one could possibly be as blinkered, uneducated and confused as you appear to be, and that in fact, this is all just a jolly good jape.

It's more widespread than a particular person. Frothing racists/bigots are prominent in the world of covid CT. In this very thread, we've seen David Icke foisted as a reliable data source.

Once again, mathematics are kryptonite to conspiracy theorists.

I wonder if it might just be a brain glitch, like dyslexia or something. Heteroscedasticity as a life principle.

Nope. If you take a community-college statistics course, you will learn that throwing out the outliers is a necessary and effective tool in data analysis. I'm not kidding when I suggest this. It's a real thing. https://www.theanalysisfactor.com/outliers-to-drop-or-not-to-drop/

Do you not understand how data points work? Each and every dot on the graph has been examined and/or studied for the purposes of the chart. That's how they know where to plot them. If you wish to analyze them for a different attribute, you will need to make a separate diagram.

Unless, per Orac's description, they are torturing the data until it confesses - see Hooker as an example.

Or, a thing I've come across a couple of times but cannot recall the links, using a statistical tool which is known to throw up false positives under certain circumstances, then use it under those circumstances and shout "Gotcha!".

There is a related "use" of "assessment tools" in some "autism reserach", especially conducted by the Geiers and their acolytes, in which one ignores all the well-researched and normalised tools used by clinicians effectively for years and pick some obscure ticky box thing, which, it turns out, is known to conflate certain learning difficulties with autism and over-estimates both, thus giving you the "Oh noes! Teh Autizmz iz GROWING!"

Some CT-ists are sneakier than others.

Fonebone's image is certainly an image of something but not what someone necessarily wants. Imagine you're plotting where a cannonball might fall in a field. If you're in the scrap business it might suggest how far to look to pick up all the strays. If you are looking for the best place to build your magazine you would do better to crumple it up to wipe your bum when the barrage begins.
