The Sinking of MS Estonia: Case Re-opened Part II

It is none of your business.

Yes, it is. You've made it our business.

Here, to help you along I'll explain my credentials. I'm not a scientist but I do hold a BScEcon from Aberystwyth University n International Relations. Your turn.

As I said, I wouldn't rule anything out.

...except the mainstream narrative. Do you mean you don't have the slightest curiosity yourself in exploring whether the things you're willing to advocate to others can clear even a cursory bar of credibility? You make a big show of advocating for the survivors. Are you willing to assuage their anguish with stuff you uncritically cribbed from a parody web site?

No, but you have made the unambiguous claim to be a scientist. What specialisation, where did you study, what degree(s) do you hold and are you currently in research or have you ever been? They aren't hard questions. Stop dodging them.

Are we getting into brinkmanship now?

No, it's just plain old voir dire. You're claiming to be a scientist, and upon that basis to tell us, from a position of expertise, what scientists mean when they write certain formulaic phrases. As long as your evidence rises no higher than "because I say so," the basis for your saying so is all you've given your critics to work with.

BSc(Hons) with sufficient science/maths content to obtain exemption from the certificate level of postgraduate professional chartered accountancy exams. I did a dissertation in memory (which is archived on file) and fifteen laboratory reports.

What scientific career did you pursue after college? Does everyone with a bachelor-of-science degree (in whatever field) merit the title "scientist?"

But where is the evidence Andresson was 'incompetent'? If he was incapacitated for some reason, that is not the same as being incompetent.

He repeatedly sailed with a defective bow visor.
He ran the ship too hard for the conditions.

If he was incapacitated the 1st Mate would have taken over.

Stop trying to prise personal information out of me.

You chose to make your alleged scientific credentials relevant, but you have substantiated only that you hold a baccalaureate degree in an unspecified field. That isn't enough to accept you as a scientist. Do you instead wish to concede that you are not a scientist, as the word is commonly used?

No, Mark Corrigan and yourself demanded I have scientific credentials. Sorry to disappoint you but I do. You even rudely said I was not a scientist, which shows your only interest is in making degrading and sneering comments designed to undermine one's confidence.
