Hi dear friend. I have said for everyone and for you several times in my article: The way to prove the supernatural like what I believe; God - science - perception - soul is not through experimental sciences. It is only through logical and philosophical reasoning. I have said the way of reasoning and explaining it. And in this way I have proved the logic of the supernatural. You insist that I give evidence through the experimental sciences. Dear friend, these are not proven by experimental sciences because they are not made of matter. Only their signs and works are possible through experimental sciences and even seeing works with the naked eye. But they themselves are not seen. Did it become clear to you?
This is special pleading. All you are doing is claiming that something is true then stating it you are unable to test it. If something affects the world we can test it.

God is not real. Provide evidence he is and I will change my mind. Why would you believe something there is no evidence for? It's inane.

What is your best evidence for god. Your single best argument for the existence of a creator deity.

You can't say that the signs and works are visible but god isn't. That's just pointing to something and saying "God did this". You have no evidence your god did it so there is no reason to believe he did.

I will tell you: just one word of the Qur'an may have 70 different meanings and each meaning has 70 types of interpretation.

In which case, there is no possibility of understanding it.
Why did your god not make himself clearer?
Once again, you are basing your arguments on one possible interpretation, without ever justifying why this particular one is the right one.
It's just guesswork. No-one will be convinced by this.

Scorpion, heydarian saeed.

Both the Bible and the Quran are gibberish. God spoke to me and told me the real truth is the Hayes Repair Manual for a 1976 Ford Pickup.

I have exactly as much proof of anything as either of you.

Given that fact describe, in actual human words, how we should determine the truth that is functionally different from "See who can scream the loudest and be the most stubborn and resistant to facts, evidence and logic."

...to no avail.

I know the above is unfair editing  for all this effort, but posts are approaching 1k and I read only a couple dozens so far. Is there any post by heydarian saeed other readers would address me to as interesting or the above summary is accurate enough? Thank you

I think you've been pretty fair there...

Like the pine marten avatar.

I have never claimed the bible is Gods words, I think it is mostly Jewish myths.
My argument is specifically that many of those fictitious myths appear repeated in the Quran as history, proving it is plagiarism from the bible.

And you think the Bible is... what original?

More of a god of the gaps kind of guy entrenched in a Judep Christian philosophy. Miracles are real, and any unexplained nphenomenon is God's work.

My beliefs hardly matter on this thread and I don't want to start discussing them here, I will simply say I have a predisposition to think the teachings of Jesus are spiritual, but the old testament is mostly Jewish myths..

"My beliefs hardly matter" is a very transparent way of going "I don't have any evidence my beliefs are more likely to true than anyone else's."

I have a whole thread devoted to my beliefs about the existence of a spirit world. But I was ground down by overwhelming criticism and let the thread die.

I'm no fan of Scorpions, but IMO he's made valuable contributions to this thread & hasn't made it about his own beliefs. I think his last response should be allowed to draw a line under it and let us all stick to the topic.

Using someone you don't agree with to fight your battle with someone else you don't agree with is what resulted in the Afghan quagmire.

Yeah...it's hyperbole...:boxedin:

Okay well fine, whatever. That still only puts us back at "Since we've special pleaded evidence away all we have left is whose imagination is the loudest and who gets tired and gives up last."

When the evidence is all voices in heads what are we supposed to do?

... My evidence in this regard is that: first; The human soul does not have any of the characteristics of matter, so it is from the supernatural world.
Here is the flaw: you have not shown that the human soul exists, and yet you claim to know it’s characteristics. Try again, and start by showing that humans have what you call a soul.

“I think, and therefore I must have a soul” is not good enough.

Heydarian, do you believe the story of Noah's ark to be literally true?

In the National Museum of Iran, in Tehran, there is a display with a timeline of the history of humanity.
There's a break, for the flood: all of history stops, from Mesopotamia to China, and then somehow restarts again a couple of years later. :jaw-dropp
No explanation is given as to how the Chinese, for example, continued building their civilisation with no actual Chinese people still in existence. Ditto Egypt and Sumeria.

So, yes, it is entirely possible heydarian has swallowed this nonsense, if that's what they're teaching as real history.

He hasn't made his appearance since his "Tamam shud" post. Today being Friday, I guess I could wait another day when he will come to respond to the various queries. I tried to compile his myriad posts into a word document, but gave up after a while. It's just a rambling series of contradictory assumptions and assertions....much like his primary reference text.
