Anyway, here's a link to the start of a thread on the whole sham audit in AZ,

And here is their reply letter to the State senate's demand. A few tastes:

We write in response to your May 12, 2021 letter. We also write in response
to the May 12th social media post from the Twitter account, run by you or
your designee/s, which accused Maricopa County of “deleting a directory full
of databases from the 2020 election cycle days before the election equipment
was delivered to the audit,” and went on to accuse the County of “spoliation of
evidence.”
These accusations are false, defamatory, and beneath the dignity of the
Senate. They are an insult to the dedicated public servants in the Maricopa
County Elections Department and Office of the Recorder, who work incredibly
long hours conducting the County’s elections with integrity and honor.

That the Senate would launch such a grave accusation via Twitter not only
before waiting for an answer to your questions, but also before your so called
“audit” demonstrates to the world that the Arizona Senate is not acting in
good faith, has no intention of learning anything about the November 2020
General Election, but is only interested in feeding the various festering
conspiracy theories that fuel the fundraising schemes of those pulling your
strings. You have rented out the once good name of the Arizona State
Senate to grifters and con-artists, who are fundraising hard-earned money
from our fellow citizens even as your contractors parade around the
Coliseum, hunting for bamboo and something they call “kinematic artifacts”
while shining purple lights for effect. None of these things are done in a
serious audit. The result is that the Arizona Senate is held up to ridicule in
every corner of the globe and our democracy is imperiled.

"Shining purple lights for effect" made me laugh - how was that even supposed to help anyone "detect bamboo", even if there were any bamboo there?

The screenshot reveals that your “auditors” were using R-Studio Network
Technician to conduct their analysis. That software is used to identify files
that are missing at the spot the software is told to search. Yet you provided
the screenshot falsely asserting that these identified “missing files” were
deleted and evidence was “spoiled”. Nothing in this screenshot indicates that
any file was deleted or spoiled. At most what can be discerned from this
screenshot is that R-Studio, as used by your “auditors,” did not locate within
the copy your vendor created the particular files listed in the column on the
right.

"That software your idiots are using - we know what it is, and how it works. It does not say what you claim it does."

They then answer the Senate's questions by repeatedly calling them ignorant, refuse to show up later today, tell them that they're hurting America, and in the first link say outright that this is just being done for an OAN livetream.

The sad truth is that the GOP faithful will lap up the stories of the Cyber Ninja ballot auditors being frustrated at every turn by deep state operatives determined to maintain the fiction that Joe Biden won in Arizona. :(

The desperately sad truth is that the vast majority of Republicans in the House and Senate are among them.:mad:

Yes, they are.

Sounds like the sort of company that would steal whatever data they could, and then sell it to the highest bidder.

And then the other bidders like a month later.

As to the GOP...they're a failed political party for now.
 
The bamboo check is one of the dumbest things I have heard. It’s basically racism and works on then assumption that China makes all its paper out of bamboo.

Which is untrue, bamboo paper is a specialty market that caters to artists, not mass production.

China does require a lot of paper for their industry, a d their primary source of pulp was US recycled paper. That changed in 2018 when Trump started a trade war and China cut imports of all recyclables. They have to work around it since and now US recycling is kinda devastated. China has been desperately trying to develop a softwood forest industry for their needs but it has been decades and still shows no sign of being able to provide what they need.

Anyone who was worked it’s products from China knows they have limits. If I buy from a toy distributor who imports from China the product box will be decent, but the pack box it comes in will be amazingly weak. Like a hard stare will make it break. These pack boxes are usually shipped in a US made box such as Weyerhaeuser or Uline and the contrast in strength is considerable. But I assure you those boxes and the products have no bamboo paper.

Of course. The flaw in trying to thoroughly debunk each unsupported rumor Is that the loons can start unsupported rumors much faster than they can be debunked.

As has been said many,many times before, we’ve stepped through the looking glass [sigh, many of the Crackpots don’t even understand the idiom].

There was a time, back in the Sheriff Arpaio days, when I thought AZ was hopeless. Then there was a bright spot last November, and I thought they were in fact crawling toward the light. Now I'm just shaking my head again.

If they had any shame, they'd be embarrassed.

It's nice to see someone pushing back, though.

Well, most white paper will fluoresce under UV, one of the ways to check for counterfeit bills. Who knows if the paper used on the ballot fluoresces but I don't think bamboo does. There was also some mention (other sources) that the UV could damage the ballots (perhaps fade the marking ink would be my surmise). Why they think fake ballots from china would have bamboo is beyond me, seems like more of a stereotype than anything.

I figure someone just said 'The Chinese are bamboozling us' and it was taken too literally.
 
Because, ironically, things don't sell as a believable conspiracy until the conspirators are acting in breathtakingly inefficient ways and doing things in a way that is thousand harder than it needs to be.

It's like how every single 9/11 conspiracy is a good factor of 100 times harder then just training a terrorist cell and having them hijack and crash planes into the building.
