Don't miss this one, all you Open Minded people here, and the Scott Jenson MD/Senator video. He has others out there too.

That article is very big on opinion and very short on actual evidence. I am open to there being some truth in some of those claims. For example, I do not think it has been 100% ruled out that the virus may have been released from the lab in Wuhan. I am prepared to consider further evidence if and when that is presented.

This, Caroline13, is what being open minded is all about. Following the actual evidence wherever it may lead, and not accepting unsubstantiated opinions.

I liked this part of the ******* crazy page:

The World Health Organization’s commission charged with the investigation of SARS-CoV-2’s origin has dismissed the lab-origin theory. In response, two dozen scientists and policy experts are calling for a truly independent investigation into the virus’ origin

24 scientists? That's an enormous number of scientists. The WHO will surely cave into such an uncountable number. I mean there can't be more than 45 scientists in the world surely?

I frankly think that masks, social distancing, and lockdowns are irrelevant to the spread of the viruses involved, but that's almost beside the point.
What you "frankly think is irrelevant" flies in the face of objective reality.

I definitely don't need to come to listen to alleged skeptics repeat politically correct conventional wisdom. I've gotten all that over and over, and could have gotten it from osmosis, alone.
The highlighted again details your continuing error regarding the virus and the pandemic.

It's like knowing the tune and at least some of the words to Amazing Grace, whether or not you want to.
Whether or not you want to recognize objective reality has nothing to do with its existence.

It's your contention that a source that has a profit motive is suspect.

I would like you to explain why this one has an exception.

Don't bother to explain anything as I've been buying supplements for about 30 yrs and this is where I choose to spend my money, not giving it to pharma hogs. And end up with the side effects from their toxins.

Do you really believe that the pharma hogs aren't the ones selling most supplements? :eye-poppi

“Increasingly, Big Pharma and Big Herba are indistinguishable,” claims Parramore. “The very same mega-companies with gigantic chemical labs that make drugs are cooking up vitamin and herbal supplements labeled with sunny terms like ‘natural’ and ‘wholesome.’ Pfizer, Unilever, Novartis, GlaxoSmithKline and other big pharmaceutical firms make or sell supplements.” While she does acknowledge there are a few small companies still in the mix, Parramore says they represent a tiny amount of the total sales in the $23 billion-a-year supplement business.

Many of these pharma companies have made the foray into supplements because it plays to their strengths while being far, far cheaper than drug development.

You misunderstood.

I was not explaining anything.

I'm asking you to explain why you are being inconsistent in applying your own standard to this source.

You choosing to reply by announcing your enthusiastic consumption of the kinds of products that site sells is not necessarily an explanation, but if it is, it is not one that is flattering to you.

Some people think that paying $8 for something that doesn't work is better value than $10 for something that does. What are ya gonna do?

How about $100's for cancer drugs that if one did their research on supplements and cancer prevention, $20 and under for supplements for cancer prevention can do a good job...that's where I have gone for over 25 yrs with my grape seed extract.

I just want to borrow Jay Utah's excellent comment from another thread in this subforum...

No, no one here is going to be delighted with your pretentious, vague handwaving. If you aren't prepared to discuss your claims in greater depth than simply saying something and expecting to be believed, this forum is quite literally not where you should be. It's not my or anyone else's fault that you aren't getting the kind of attention here that you feel you deserve.

[Disclaimer: Jay was not referring to this discussion, but I believe his comments are equally applicable here, I hope he doesn't mind me quoting him]

Yes, pharma does produce some supplements so they can keep up so to speak and surely get a lot of their ingredients from china and other 3rd world countries...I stay away from the low priced cwap supplements.

Aridas says "sell" and you say "produce". You really should start comprehending what people post before you respond.

Does paying more than you have to for worthless crap come under the category of open minded?

$100 once for something that works versus $20 over and over for something that hasn't been proven to do anything. Riiiight.

It's like the myth many people assume regarding farming. They don't realize that family farms are a tiny percentage of overall production, the rest being dominated by giant industrial farming corporations.

Even "natural" supplements need some rather expensive facilities to produce in quantity, especially if you're going to meed FDA requirements for safety. I'm sure most people think that their "natural" supplements are made by neo-hippies who boil down big vats of free-range roots and berries that they grow in pastoral gardens. It's downright comical that most "natural" alternative medicine and supplements are produced by the same "big pharma" companies making the "evil chemicals".
