There are some Covid-19 deniers that deal with the high excess deaths differently. Rather than denying they occur, they simply say they are caused by the lockdowns and oxygen stealing masks. Deniers gotta deny.

James DeMeo for instance. He's also a Orgone proponent.

The fact that you've been evading this morbid flaw in your argument since it was first presented to you tells us all that you know it's a huge problem, and that either answer will make you look ridiculous.

For 2.6 millions it was quite deadly; as for a political movement, it's the deniers attempting to make it political for whatever reasons rattling around in their denying heads.

The screwed-up nature of polarised American politics means that each half of the country doesn't want to seem to agree with anything they associate with the other side.

A chunk of people think mask wearing would signal they agree with people they oppose. Hydrochloroquine is magic. Masks are slavery.

It's all crap. And when the disease is beaten by vaccines and becomes just another problem like seasonal flu, it'll all just fade away.

Meantime the other 95% of the human race is just getting on with it, unburdened by insane US politics.

It is the very nature of conspiracy theorists to think they can connect the dots between two totally unconnected things, and believe they are making a point in trying to do so.
 
I think the problem is that many uneducated or poorly educated people have never learned how to properly inform themselves. They think that just reading stuff pretty much at random counts as research, and enables them to reach valid conclusions. But it's not enough to love learning, you first have to learn how to learn. Learn critical thinking skills first, and then you can educate yourself. Just read anything that takes your fancy, and all you'll do is confirm whatever prejudices you started out with.

Did you actually read any of that article, like the part near very beginning, which they prominently bolded, stating: It’s important to note that mRNAs are a normal component of all cells and the specific ones discussed here are not involved in mRNA-based vaccines, like the one developed against SARS-CoV-2.

It's true enough that some people are uneducated, but perhaps not the ones you would prefer.
