The Biden Presidency

Trump introduced his rally sizes, compared to Biden's, as evidence that he won in Georgia.

If YT likes are an expression of US votes, I guess that makes Ed Sheeran President.

The biggest joke here - nothing about Youtube is built to garner "likes". Just as long as you're engaged, and they can shuffle you off to something with ads playing, they're fine.

"Ah, you hate the new White House feed? Sorry, here's some goon on Newsmax, right after this ad for manly food for manly men like you, man."

today I heard someone call biden a poop head. strange that the most popular president in US history would be called a poop head.

And in other Biden news: Biden's youtube channel "The White House" now clearly the domain of the newly sworn in President, continues to receive massive thumbs down on every video posted. More dislikes than likes.

Strange that this would be an issue for the most popular US President in history.

You do understand that Youtube likes and dislike votes don't correlate with how popular or unpopular a president is, don't you? Or.....do you?

People also tend to express their dislike or disapproval of things much more often than they do their approval of things. In other words; people like to bitch about things, especially when they feel aggrieved and they like to make it known. It makes them feel like they have some control or power. The people who disliked the videos came there already prepared to "thumbs down" them. But I think you know that...at least if you're being intellectually honest.

Taking a look at the first couple of videos, compare the amount of views vs the amount of times people even bothered to register their like or dislike:

President Biden Speaks To The U.S. Conference Of Mayors

The only metric that right-wing America doesn't like for determining election results is the popular vote.

Boater parades, YT likes, Twitter followers, yard signs, etc: all Extremely Relevant for some reason.

81,268,757>74,216,722 ?
Meh, not so relevant, but let's round the 74,216,722 to 75,000,000 anyway.

Good morning

And, yet, if you go to the OANN comment section*, I think you'll find that a majority of posts are Pro-Biden!

Mwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

*The website articles not the the Youtube Channel.

Not strange at all. This simply means there are more idiot Trump-supporting trolls on youtube than there are intelligent people. Old news.

It's the unemployable Trump trolls that have the time to watch youtube all day. The intelligent people are out being productive.

I was watching a reporter interview Trump voters in a very red district in TX. He asked them what Biden could do to be a good president. Almost all of them said to stop being so divisive. I had to wonder just what Biden had done to be divisive in their minds but made them think Trump was not responsible for the divisiveness of the last four years? It just goes to show how people can look at the same events yet see entirely different things.

Divisive? The poor little snowflake is being dramatic, I see.

After getting the most votes for president in the history of the United States in a free and fair election, Biden's ego can probably survive this hit without damage.

What's the fuss with Biden wearing a Rolex at the inauguration?

I own two and I am by no means 'rich' or 'elite'

I'm working on an essay whether a Rolex is better or worse than Dijon mustard.
Quite a dilemma, to be honest.

It's not like it was even a 'blingy' one.
A subtle 'Datejust' not even the big one.

That actually represents a significant elevation of the national discourse.

And was the reporter interested enough in reality and truth actually to ask those people what Biden had done that's divisive? I bet not. It's more of a story to teach the controversy than it is to call their hand.

Yes, it very important that the YT demographic, best known for their insightful comments such as “lol kill urself” be major indicator of the success of this presidency.

Meanwhile, Trump goons are raging in the comments that the official White House FB and Twitter feeds are now posting announcements from the Biden administration as one would expect but the red hats are raging about stolen subscribers.

It’s a difference between reporting and journalism, reporting today has been elevated because that is what gets you your click-bait headlines i.e “follow the money”.

Good short article about the difference from over 10 years ago - quite prescient given how reporting has come to dominate:

https://www.theguardian.com/media/greenslade/2009/dec/10/newspapers-pressandpublishing

“.... To illustrate his point he offers this straightforward comparison:

Reporting: A 747 aircraft crashed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean yesterday.

Journalism: A review of maintenance reports of the 747 aircraft that crashed last month revealed that the airplane had a faulty engine parts. Reports indicate that airline management ignored warnings that the parts were malfunctioning. ....”

Let's judge the Presidency the same way we do The Last of Us 2 reviews. Good idea.
