Here's how I've seen it explained. Please correct me if I am wrong.

If a state's slate of electors is objected to, it has to be done in writing by one member of each house of Congress. In order for the objection to be sustained, both houses need to vote and agree to the objection. Since the Dems control the house, there's not a chance in Hades that the election is overturned.

I live in one of the states for which goons like Lin Wood are calling for martial law. This state has had routine voting by mail for a long time, and the system is clean and pretty efficient.

The only reason Trump cultists are echoing such insane and un-American rantings is that Trump lost. They don’t care about similar processes in states Trump won. They didn’t care about such processes in 2016, when Trump won the electoral college, and they didn’t hesitate to call him the President-Elect immediately.

These people are cargo-cult “patriots”: willfully ignorant, blinded by their hatred for caricatures of their political opponents and by buzzwords they are fed endlessly by echo-chamber media.
