Now it turns out that the Democrats want the Pack the Court with 26 Justices. This would be terrible, and must be stopped. Even Justice RBG was strongly opposed!

Greenwald's did not have his right to free speech taken away from him. He always had and still has greater access to free speech than 99.9% of the rest of the population. It is just that the organisation he worked for didn't want to publish certain views. He was always free to publish those views elsewhere, just as the rest of us do.


Briebart and all the other alt-right sources also publish only the views they want to publish. Should they also be forced to give equal prominence to left wing and liberal views?



Of course people should feel free to walk down the street with their MAGA hats, and I doubt there are many places in America where they can't.

I think Greenwald threw a mighty petulant tantrum and am grimly satisfied he **** himself into appearing on programs that have Alex Jones on for it. I've been in agreement with him often, but his tone tended to rub me wrong. I'm highly respectful of the Intercept, that have a stable of journalists with deep reach into intelligence and international policy.

That said, Glenn could not take those thoughts elsewhere (not in those exact words, anyways). He tried to make hay out of that for public consumption, too. Many journalists were pointing out, no that's standard journalism/writers guild stuff. Your drafts and edits are works for hire and are company IP.

It wasn't censorship, it was a company not wanting weeks of multiple salaries spent on Glenn's sprawling, sanctimonious novella making some other outlet a bunch of advertising dollars.

Isn't it fundamental to the principle of a secret ballot that no vote is traceable to a specific voter?

That 170k number sounds familiar. I wonder if this is really something "just discovered", or is it rehashing already debunked junk.

Before this mess with Trump I would have said the RPG version (also called Illuminati) didn't really lend itself to the totally gonzo sets up the card game can produce. Now they seem to about on par with each other. :D :boggled:

I am surprised the courts are putting up with this nonsense. I doubt the certification come Dec 14 is going to stop this - if anything it will likely get worse. :(

Not familiar with US laws at all (in fact I think part of it is weird), but I assume that once it is certified, any calls to overturn it are even harder to make.

They're just as easy to make. All it takes is someone to make them.

And they'll be just about as successful, which is to say, not at all.

But the point of the claims is not and never has been for any of them to be successful. The point has always been to rile up the Trump base, and keep them willing to send in money to their grifter hero.

Also to set the ground for claiming the Democrats have no right to be in office, more raw meat for the faithful.

Trump and his allies are now 1-56.
 
Michigan Supreme Court denies appeal of the last remaining Trump lawsuit in the state (case is about Trump asking Michigan to stop the counting of absentee ballots).

On order of the Court, the motions for immediate consideration are GRANTED.
The application for leave to appeal the December 4, 2020 order of the Court of Appeals is considered, and it is DENIED, because we are not persuaded that the questions presented should be reviewed by this Court. The motion to intervene is DENIED as moot.

If the two Senators from Georgia should lose, which would be a horrible thing for our Country, I am the only thing that stands between “Packing the Court” (last number heard, 25), and preserving it. I will not, under any circumstances, Pack the Court!

I keep wondering if there really isn't an outer limit where a claim could be so absurd even his base wouldn't buy it.
