it is very likely that she lied to Congress about the reasons to abort the move and her communication with Trump about it.

Thanks. I didn't recall testimony before Congress.

I don't reckon she'll get a pardon unless he grants a blanket pardon to almost all of his appointees. Which is totally possible, I suppose. It seems a little too blatant to me, but that sorta thinking has led me astray the past few years.

She is more afraid of Trump not pardoning her for her role in preventing the move of the FBI Headquarters.

There were a lot of thumbs in that pie. I'm not sure she can be held personally responsible. It's a safe bet Biden will replace her; she'd be in a better position to find her next job if she showed some backbone now and stood up to Trump and made him fire her.

I have little doubt that many people in the administration all have their little piles of files of Trump misconduct that they will bring to any interview about their future job prospects under Biden.

Sounds like it is a recount, but they can't call it that.

Georgia has no requirement for an automatic recount. A candidate can request a recount if the vote totals are within 0.5%. It's not clear whether the Secr. of State can legally order a recount without a request from one of the candidates.

There is basically no chance that Biden will retain any Trump political appointees. He gets to bring his own people aboard. The "plum book" has over 9,000 slots. I was thinking of her next job in private industry, where most places won't see working for Trump as an asset. Maybe she should just tell people she's been painting houses for the last four years.

I wonder how many in the Trump admin who are expecting some kind of pardon or payoff for their loyalty are going to be shocked when he throws them under the bus.

A few of the biggies might get pardons, but a ;lot of the people who actually did the dirty work are going to tossed under the bus.

This, although SES and Politcal apointee are not the same. Some SES who have mainly prefessional qualifications have civil service protection. The non professionals do not. Theu have the same pay and benefits as the SES classifed as Professional,,but no Civil Serevice Protection. They serve at the "President's Pleasure" and almost always get tossed when a new adminsitration of the opposite party comes in.

I can't figure out why anyone would even take such a position. What are you going to accomplish in 2 months? Really, how much harm could one do? Below these positions in all agencies and the Pentagon there are numerous levels of bureaucrats who can just delay, postpone, call more meetings, etc. Any half-way decent bureaucrat can make two months go by without any action at all.
6 figures/month and benefits.

It pays a lot of taxpayer dollars to work for Trump.

Now Trump will have to get the votes of more then one state thrown out. Chances of that are very low.

For anyone interested that has 33 minutes to watch: Katie Couric interview with Mary Trump about her uncle now that he's lost the election. Quite the eyeopener about how dangerous Trump is going to be over the next 2 months and possibly longer. She also had a bit to say about the Republican legislators like McConnell who continue to enable Trump.

Well worth the half hour.

Should note also last night, Philadelphia released another batch of votes that gave added another 4000+ to Biden's lead. He now leads PA with over 60,000 votes.

These states in question should immediately be put in the Trump Win column. Biden did not win, he lost by a lot!

@realDonaldTrump
Must see @seanhannity takedown of the horrible, inaccurate and anything but secure Dominion Voting System which is used in States where tens of thousands of votes were stolen from us and given to Biden. Likewise, the Great @LouDobbs has a confirming and powerful piece!

On this conceding. I did not consider one more option. Trump never has to concede and can even continue campaigns to "recount" but as soon as the electoral college votes the thing is done. At this point Trump will announce the 2024 candidacy and sort of admit that "this is how it went" and move on to collect $$$ using 2024 as the reason. He won't make it past the first primary but hey, he had a piggybank for 4 years.

Not so sure about the bolded part, frankly.

correct, because McConnell will smother him with a pillow if he tries to get nominated again.
