I note that individual in this forum who was posting all those posts Proving that Biden was losing and Trump winning in every battleground state with has not shown up for a while.
I guess he or she cannot find enough new proof to cherry pick I guess.

Don’t you guys vote by pulling a lever on a Rube-Goldberg hole-punch machine?

Or using mis-aligned touchscreen panels. Or the envelope that goes in the envelope within an envelope and you can only sign one with a signature that matches your elementary school organ donation card (in the event of a school shooting)? Or complete a crystal maze obstacle course or hold in your pee for a Guinness Book of records attempt...or something???

;)

Actually in America all our voting booths are gun ranges. You just shoot the ballot in the spots for your candidate. That's what happened in Florida in 2000, a bunch of voters were using low caliber weapons which left hanging chads.

Pennsylvania:

I have done the maths. If Biden continues on his ratio of 2.818181818:1 for every Trump absentee vote for the remaining 8% of the vote (92% counted) of 511,088 then Biden will win by 4.136%. Final total Biden: 3,619,766, Trump 3,374,172, with Biden getting a further 377,303 and Trump 133,785 ceteris paribus. Probably need to adjust this downwards - this is best case.

If this pans out we have the 46th POTUS.
You are assuming way more ballots remaining than actually remain.

 I chuckled. :)

Let's hope that poster does not have cause to come back in and gloat.

The total lack of action from virtually all of the “2024 GOP hopefuls” is pretty amazing.
They have a perfect platform to show that they’re willing & able to fight but they will cower to the media mob instead.

Don’t worry @realDonaldTrump will fight & they can watch as usual!
And right on cue, Nikki Haley prostrated before the golden calf

We all owe @realDonaldTrump for his leadership of conservative victories for Senate, House, & state legislatures. He and the American people deserve transparency & fairness as the votes are counted. The law must be followed. We have to keep the faith that the truth will prevail.

There was an upsurge in Trump supporter activity here for a time while the election looked shaky. Now it's all crickets. It was like this after the midterms, too.

Which is actually promising, in a way. If a large enough part of Trump's appeal was how he made his followers feel, like they were part of this big, powerful wrecking ball of a movement to bring down the establishment and terrify the liberal elite, he might lose a heck of a lot of his pull on them when he has lost the election, especially when he has to leave office in January.

From the NYT's current stats my back of an envelope estimate is around 151,000 or so.

From the NYT just now:
Nevada has about 190,000 ballots still to be counted, the secretary of state said. Ninety percent of them are from Clark County, where Biden currently leads by 8 percentage points.

I recall one update that said there were 3 different numbers for remaining ballots to be counted. But no matter, that still leaves Biden with the state. :yahoo

Now nobody go and spoil my current vibe thank you.

I never see people driving around with Biden flags, someone want to explain how this guy who couldn’t fill a high school auditorium is leading currently?

This sounds like someone demanding an explanation that he's just not equipped to ever understand. Maybe Hercules should be trying to understand how someone with all those flag-waving followers could be currently trailing (by, what? like over 3.5 million votes?) instead.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm voting for the person to DO A JOB. basically, American voters are HR and we are deciding who to give a job to. With that in mind, it would be a bit weird for me to start wearing hats and Tshirts, and waving flags with the image or name of my employee.
:D

I was using the 92% of the vote counted figure and calculated 8% of the remainder, so who knows where they got 92% from. 8% of the stated totals for Trump and Biden comes to 511,528. Anyway, here's an analysis by a proper paper.

Word is that Trump nut protesters in AZ are chanting "Fox News Sucks."

Because no state legislature has said that's how it ought to be done. A state could pass a law saying that's how their block will be appointed.

The general reason for not doing it that way is that the states feel they have more clout in national politics if all their electors vote in a block.

Maine and Nebraska do elect split electors, based on the majority vote within congressional districts, so this year, Maine will have one elector for Trump, and three for Biden, while Nebraska will have one for Biden, and four for Trump. That's how their legislators said they will appoint their electors.

Well some states have passed a law making it a punishable offence for an elector to not vote for the winner of the states election. They could still vote however they want, then face a fine or custodial sentence. And from what I've read they might be able to appeal such a sentence.

So, in general (really responding to more in general up thread and not this specific post), each state has a law on the books that the party's chose their electors and once the state has official certified the election (by sec of state?) then those are the electors. The Fox New pundit guy is wrong in a way. The state legislature can't just upend that. They COULD however change the law, but luckily the Governor of Penn, Wisc, Nev, and Michigan are Democrats and would veto it.
