Well, most of us survived the first four years of Trump.


And, the fat lady hasn't sung yet, although she does seem to be warming up offstage.

I won't, and I am serous about the US becoming a de facto dictatorship.
I am also convicned that armed resistence will be necessary to restore any kind of democracy.

I am just watching it with interest and understanding the system

I am not in the US so have no skin in the game.saying people who don't agree with me should rot in hell.

He didn't manage to turn us into a banana republic in four years. I don't see how he gets there in eight. Not that he won't try.

This is just silly.

If Trump wins the election, then he wins the election. There's no democracy restoring to be done, because it will be as democratic as it has ever been (with the ridiculous EC system).

So what is one guy with a rifle (and plenty of ammo) going to do? Kick ass and chew bubblegum?

Because honestly, that's not going to turn out well for you.

Frankly, I think his followers are overall too incompetent to fully pull off what they want to. I mean, really, they struggle with making plans.

However, they will have ensured a long term conservative majority on the supreme court plus various lower level positions. And then we come to Bill Barr...

As long as you are okay standing shoulder to shoulder with antifa, possibly including many socialists and leftwing militia groups who would be most eager to participate in an insurgency like that.
 
I'm a little nervous here. I feel like somehow Biden is going to pull this off and that anguish-feast I can almost taste is going to be snatched away from me.

It's really, really important, but not quite essential. He could still win with Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine, Nebraska 2 (Omaha)...

There are some calculations that get him to 270 (and maybe a few more) without Penn.
 
Good God, people. Enough already and give it a rest with the hand wringing and doomsday predictions. The ballot counting isn't over. Do you not effing LISTEN? They've been telling us for weeks that election night would look better for Trump which is exactly why he's been trying so hard to stop mail-in ballots from being counted past midnight tonight. Far more Democrats vote by mail-in ballots than Republicans which can skew the numbers in favor of Biden tomorrow and even into Thursday. PA and Michigan are expected to be affected be this.
