2020 Presidential Election

He'll have LOTS of help. Again, its not Trump, it's the party. They've been attacking the whole electoral process for years. After all, it's not a democracy, it's a republic.

Yes and some states with GOP state houses were named as if all Republicans are on board the clown train and all outcomes are going to be tight despite the fact there is little data to support that assertion.

Then you have to figure how many states have to have their outcomes challenged. Trump needs a dozen, Biden merely needs to hold the fort.

Nope. Fracking is kinda dying off on its own and the majority of the crash has happened on his watch. It’ll still be around a while but it’s no longer a huge moneymaker or jobmaker. In fairness Trump had little to do with this but some of his statements and policies go against renewables and did little more than 8ncrease their cost.

The problem with fracking is it's expensive. It usually produces a lot at first, but very often it ends up producing much less after only a short time. A lot of energy companies that have gone bankrupt in the last 10 years that have gone bankrupt because they bet big on fracking.

One of the most important issues for Pennsylvania is the survival of your fracking industry. Joe Biden has repeatedly pledged to abolish fracking. When asked about fracking, Biden said he would “make sure it’s ELIMINATED!” With me, you’re going to FRACK!

This election is a simple choice: If Biden Wins, China Wins. When WE Win, YOU WIN, Pennsylvania WINS, and America WINS!
Go frack yourself.

It would still be a money-maker if oil cost $100 a barrel. The main thing killing fracking is current oil price.

The brave men & women of law enforcement have been attacked & ambushed across the country. They want a strong leader that’ll #BackTheBlue. There hasn't been a more outspoken supporter of the police than @realDonaldTrump

We need #FourMoreYears of America's Law and Order President

Does that include the brave Louisiana law officer who shot himself and then claimed he was ambushed ?

THE COUNTRY'S GOING TO HELL! VOTE TRUMP!

Well, he does seem to be running this campaign as the plucky outsider fighting against the incumbent - Joe Biden.

edited to add....

He also seems to have no influence over any branch of government.

You may find this interesting:
The Real Reason Why Republicans Keep Saying “We’re a Republic, Not a Democracy
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/10/republic-democracy-mike-lee-astra-taylor.html
Yes, a very interesting article, an interview with "filmmaker and author Astra Taylor, who in the 2018 documentary What Is Democracy? and the 2019 companion book Democracy May Not Exist, but We’ll Miss It When It’s Gone." One passage jumped out at me.

The [Republican] party has just gone in the opposite direction of that. It’s figuring out how to maintain dominance with a minority of support.

As we always suspected, the greatest threat to our democracy comes from within. In retrospect, it seemed to start with Nixon, progress through Reagan and really become established with Gingrich and now trump. We've seen it happen elsewhere, now it's happening here. Calling for political opponents to be jailed. Smearing them with lies. (e.g. The Democrats want 'open borders,' so drug dealers and criminals can flood in.) Targeting groups to have their right to vote taken away. Insisting, on no evidence, the election result may very well be 'rigged.' Refusing to promise to accept the result of the election, much less promise a peaceful transition if their candidate loses. Call it whatever you want but just don't call it what it isn't: democracy.

:(

Indeed.

Although I begin to wonder if "running this campaign" is not assuming facts not in evidence.
There seems to be little thinking behind what he's doing, compared to the last stretch of the 2016 campaign.

Some things never change. The New York Post has a BS story about Biden emails (some things they got from Guiliani and Bannon), and here's Maggie Haberman of the NYT giving it all attention:

ETA: full disclosure: Haberman now asking questions about the BS:
"Random store owner has it, copies it (a crime) and gives it to the president’s lawyer while also responding to a federal subpoena? A bit odd." https://twitter.com/maggieNYT/status/1316352029850316800
"Things that are sketchy in NYP story on Hunter Biden - why wasn’t this in Ron Johnson report if it’s been in possession for awhile? When did Giuliani acquire it? Giuliani has been everywhere on the but this has been kicking around since late last year and unreleased till now?" https://twitter.com/maggieNYT/status/1316364878924447746

I've joked before that this all makes sense if Trump doesn't realize that he actually won in 2016.

USA never was democracy. At best, it was pseudo-democracy. Though lately it starts to move in direction of authoritarian right-wing state.

To be clear, by "lately" I meant "in visible way". Actual rot began decades ago and was accelerated, ironically enough, by fall of Soviet Union. In 2016 we got another kick of acceleration.

Right now, you poor bastards have two choices:
- Accelerate even more.
- Slow down rot somewhat. Not stop, let alone reverse, just slow down.

While I do not view authoritarian right-wing state as inevitable outcome, I view violent conflict as inevitable. I can only hope rethuglican degeneracy will join their spiritual brothers - slavers and nazis.

Actually, Tony’s pitching arm is far more accurate than his prognostications. “No problem, no masks”. WHO no longer likes Lockdowns - just came out against. Trump was right. We saved 2,000,000 USA lives!!!

Side note...

To nobody's suprise, Trump's statements on the WHO and lockdowns is misleading if not outright wrong.

Apparently some workers there made a statement that lockdowns should not be the PRIMARY method of controlling the pandemic, but that it can be used as a short term measure to allow other measures to be put in place.

The problem is, the other measures (mask wearing, contact tracing, testing) are not being adhered to by large segments of the US, making lock downs the only option.

Of course, that's NOT what the WHO said. They said large scale lockdowns should be avoided as a PRIMARY means of controlling covid (wearing masks and stuff like that is preferable), but they are necessary in places where things get out hand.
