Riots, looting, vandalism, etc.

Nothing demonstrates more clearly the useless of US cops than the fact that they are happy to get assistance from militia nutjobs.
Why would we fund the police when the yahoos with rifles will do their work for them for free?

Here's one line from one article about it:

I would love it if police analyzed those videos, did their best to identify every thrower, sprayer, and pellet shooter, and issued arrest warrants for all of them. No good can come of this crap. Every "militia member", and "proud boy" and Antifa vandal is a menace to society and they should all have the opportunity to explain their actions to a judge.

Another great thing the police could do is not allow this to take place in the first place.

When it was just BLM protesters, the police cracked down hard.

When the Proud Boys and other right wing extremist groups showed up with weapons, the police stood by and watched.

It’s not a surprise that it would eventually come to this.

Exactly. Because we’re certainly not interested in actually preventing violence by accurately identifying where it’s coming from. It’s more important to make this a partisan issue and simply deny reality.

You should probably tell that to the police, because letting people take the law into their own hands is exactly what they’re doing. Assuming the people in question are right wing extremists.

It's him. But I'd give him slack on this one. When you jump in a fight you don't have the time to think everything through.

I'd like to stay on his decision to grab a particularly nasty rifle and appoint himself a combatant. Did he think he was going to pose with it and look like a hero on twatter?

Eta: would still like to know where he got that rifle, too. Looks just like the one he posed with on earlier pics, that were from his home state. Or did some stranger just lend him a thousand dollar rifle?

Also, he was a kid. Did mom and dad knowingly let him play Captain America into the night in an active riot? Anyone heard from them?

If you are opposed to violence and want to prevent it, you should not be celebrating (as Suburban Turkey did) the death of a "fash", because you know damn well that the fash's buddies are not the "turn the other cheek" kind of guys. This is going to get ugly real quick. I used to joke that antifa was so active in Portland because that's where all the fascists aren't.

I just hope both sides bring dull knives to the fight.

Indeed. They thought it would be another fun weekend of rolling though town to beat and gas some lefties and have a grand ole time. Our Patriot prayer friend with a got a hard reality check when his cloud of mace got lead in return.

Of course, there will be retailiation and an escalation of force. But the days of a fun drive down to Portland to bash lefties are gone. Turns out street violence is dangerous, and not just for the lefties. Future excursions will be treated as serious affairs that could end in their own deaths.

If this CHUD hadn't taken violence so casually, he might have been wearing a ballistic plate rather than that sports armor. Based on the pic with the medics chest seal, looks like a beautiful shot straight to the bread basket. Gotta respect the marksmanship.
