An excuse machine for Trump is how QAnon got started after all.

I mean yeah, as we've mentioned, the body of theory that present-day QAnon has inculcated into itself over time is an amalgam of conspiracy theories or versions of conspiracy theories that are themselves decades and decades old; but QAnon as a distinct entity originally came into being as a result of some Trump supporters becoming agitated a few months into Trump's presidency about Hillary not being arrested yet despite Trump's campaign effectively being built on the slogan "lock her up". Enter "Q", who appeased them by pretending to be a highly-placed government official claiming to have personal knowledge that Hillary Clinton was scheduled to be arrested on October 30, 2017. Of course that and other early predictions were flat out wrong, so Q eventually switched to a horoscope-esque model, giving vague word salad pronouncements and allowing readers to fill in the gaps however they liked, which is how Pizzagate and other wild conspiracy theories were onboarded and integrated more or less by common consent into the growing QAnon mythos.

At some point, "Hillary will be arrested on [day, time]" was wrong too many times, so it became "Hillary's arrest is imminent"; and after several years of imminence, it became "Trump definitely arrested Hillary while nobody was looking but has to keep it secret for Reasons." QAnon is constantly having to revise its own history to excuse its and Trump's failures. Our friend Bubba here trying to pretend that a Pizzagate "never had anything to do with" Comet Ping Pong and an alleged child-dungeon in its basement, is another example.

I saw this excerpt about the Q gathering in Hollywood this past Saturday. I think she captures the conspiracy mindset pretty well: a desire to feel like you have special knowledge.

On **** Chute? give me a break.

The last "investigation" someone referred me to on that site consisted of a doctor "investigating" Covid...by asking her facebooks friends if they knew anyone who died of Covid...and the ones that said yes were probably mistaken...therefor C-19 is a hoax.

I'll take a swag that Bubba's "investigator" of choice goggle-fu'd up some cracker-jack evidence that proves his cas...while ignoring reality otherwise.

That's great. I hope every one of them is tried and held to account. I don't see what this has to do with QAnon in particular, though. Every sane, moral person wants to protect children from predators.

To Q-idiots, "research" means "watching YouTube videos made by other Q-idiots"; so one can only imagine what Bubba actually means when he uses the term "investigate". It would certainly not be what the rest of the English-speaking world means when they use it.

Yeah there's no evidence that Trump has "gone after" even a single pedophile, which is why QAnon is forced to resort to claiming the arrests are being kept "secret". He openly supported Roy Moore's campaign after Moore was exposed as a pedophile, and gave the Federal prosecutor who let Epstein off a position in his Cabinet. I would not be surprised if Maxwell has relevant dirt on Trump, which is why he refuses to condemn her for child trafficking.
