The Obama Years:

Pathetically weak foreign policy (ISIS, Iran nuclear deal).
Slow-growth, weak economy.
A rogue Department of Justice.
I welcome a comparison between the accomplishments of President Trump and President Obama on multiple levels.

The great thing about telling lies is that they're so easy. You don't have to prove them. You don't have to put any time or effort into them. On the other hand, it takes time and effort to debunk them.

“A lie can get halfway around the world before the truth can even get its boots on.”

Not sure who originated this, but it sprung to mind as appropriate regardless.

Not sure about that. I’ve seen Trump supporters gush about the beauty, grace and elegance she’s brought to the White House. I don’t agree, of course, but that sentiment is certainly out there.

She's skinny and white. The second part matters more than you might think.

I love how Trump is such a walking trolling dumpster fire that we as a culture have never had a chance to realize just how weird it is that we have a First Lady we've seen topless.

To be clear it doesn't matter and personally I find nudity hangups to be completely stupid in my opinion, it just seems like the sort of thing that should have been weirder and more talked about by general society.

"Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead."

- Jonathan Swift, writing in The Examiner No. XIV (Thursday, November 9th, 1710)

Does Jackie O count? They were taken after her stint at First Lady.

This is interesting:

Steve Bannon arrested and charged with fraud

Former Trump administration chief strategist Steve Bannon was charged on Thursday with fraud by federal prosecutors in New York and taken into custody.

The state of play: Bannon, along with three others, allegedly defrauded donors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars for their own profit with a crowdfunding campaign called "We Build the Wall" that raked in over $25 million.

What they're saying: "As alleged, the defendants defrauded hundreds of thousands of donors, capitalizing on their interest in funding a border wall to raise millions of dollars, under the false pretense that all of that money would be spent on construction," acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said in a statement.

"This case should serve as a warning to other fraudsters that no one is above the law, not even a disabled war veteran or a millionaire political strategist," added Inspector-in-Charge Philip R. Bartlett.

"He's a good person, being treated very unfairly!!!"

The indictment also talks about forfeiture and seizure of assets up to, but not limited to, the amount defrauded. I hope they seize every penny they can find.

This is an SDNY investigation. I guess that is why it did not get squashed by Barr? It's a bit fuzzy for me, insofar as what Barr can, and cannot, meddle with in regards to SDNY investigations.

Rogue because they were doing their job fighting Russian interference in the election.

Graham is behind in the polls. Looks like he's wanting more Trump help.

I can't get past her lawsuit about some photos because "she's about to become the most photographed woman in the world."

The woman imagines herself a Jackie-O or something.

I happened upon a quote involving Melania back when she was known as Melania Knauss, a New York-based model. I don't have a link; I read this probably six months ago but it still comes to mind.

A woman who worked in the modeling industry -- not a model, someone on the business side -- said, "Yes I recall her." She said Melania was not top tier because, "She was stiff, almost robotic." That she went on to be fairly successful in what was essentially soft-core porn. Below are two images from her 'plane shoot.' (Don't ask; I have no clue.)

Can this whole episode get any stranger? Assuming we somehow manage to regain our democracy, can you imagine how history is going to look at all this fifty years from now?

I'm pretty much a beginner at shooting models, but I'd be reluctant to share those images if I'd taken them, they're just too wooden.

I mean she's First Lady. She doesn't have a job or purpose, just a title. Weirdly it is one of the closest things America really has to something like a Royal Title.

I don't see how it's anything anyone can do wrong or worse/better than anyone else.

I don't care if the First Lady spends the entire term sitting on a couch eating Cheese Whiz out of a can with her fingers watching reality TV. We didn't elect her, she's not obligated to do anything.
