House Oversight chair introduces new bill to reverse organizational changes at USPS

A new bill aimed at reversing organizational and structural changes undertaken at the United States Postal Service by the new postmaster general was introduced to Congress Wednesday.

The Delivering for America Act, introduced by House Oversight and Reform chairwoman Carolyn Maloney of New York, is the latest action over the agency's cutbacks and slow mail service ahead of the 2020 election in November that is already upended by the coronavirus pandemic.

Maloney's proposal would "prohibit the Postal Service from implementing any changes to the operations or level of service it had in place on January 1, 2020" until the coronavirus pandemic has ended.

Financial disclosures reveal postmaster general's business entanglements and likely conflicts of interest, experts say

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy continues to hold a multimillion-dollar stake in his former company XPO Logistics, a United States Postal Service contractor, likely creating a major conflict of interest, according to newly obtained financial disclosures and ethics experts.

Outside experts who spoke to CNN were shocked that ethics officials at the postal service approved this arrangement, which allows DeJoy to keep at least $30 million in XPO holdings.

If I had some free time, I would take the total Middle East population that recognizes Israel before this agreement, vs the total middle eastern population that recognizes Israel after this agreement, do the long division and show the percentage improvement that Trump and Jared have achieved.

That said, direct flights from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv are a good thing.

Trump is worried about the birds again.

The leader of the free world ranted about windmills while calling into Sean Hannity’s Fox News show on Monday.

“If you see a windmill and you hear a windmill, your home goes down by half, or less than half. It kills all the birds,” Trump falsely claimed.

“The whole thing is crazy, what they want to do, and they’ll destroy the country,” Trump argued.

When he was (perhaps accidentally) appealing to the wind turbine woo/anti-renewable energy crowd in the Midwest. Basically tried making wind turbines out to be bird slaughterhouses compared to oil (his health claims got more press). Even if one puts AGW aside, this is still not the case so long as wind turbines are properly placed, the major thing to avoid being placing one on a migration route.
