Not exactly. I suggest you try reading the article a bit more slowly. She wasn't talking about Tara Reade. No one else accused him of rape or sexual assault. Harris was talking about some women who said Biden made them feel "uncomfortable". The Federalist article is misleading.

This was not the Tara Reade accusation. This was the other 'uncomfortable' touching that Biden had an issue with and has promised to be more mindful of. I'm not fond of Biden having done that but given that the GOP is still gong with a straight up rapist I can overlook that given the promise he would do better.

This is a bald faced lie. Not one of these women accused Biden of sexual assault. They said they felt uncomfortable and that he was inappropriate. That was it.

Well, the point was that the vast majority of black Americans have slave owners in their ancestry - because the slavers were, of course, in the habit of raping the women they enslaved. Chiding her for this is incredibly tone-deaf.

That's really not a debunking of the facts. In 2014, not 2011 or 2012 as this debunking maintains, with her signature on the document, she argued against the release of prisoners who have completed the terms of their incarceration. This fact is never addressed.

In the real world (as discussed in the link I provided), the entire discussion was about an early-release program to address the gross overcrowding that predated her. As people can't just be released willy-nilly, they were attempting to find non-violent prisoners with god records to release - but the system she inherited was not IDing such people quickly enough to comply with the court order, thus her signing onto to requests for extensions.

You make it sound like she ran onto the stage shouting "Mwuahaha I love slavery!" No, not what was happening.

I'm sure none of those were parents whose kids skipped school. She was in favor of the law in California to imprison parents whose kids skipped school.

She started a program under which parents of children that were over 100 days truant were referred to the DA's office instead of to Child Protective Services. At that point, her office would agree to drop all charges, and connect the parents to various resources that were already available. This resulted in a grand total of nobody being sent to jail for their child's truancy alone, and many students showing a marked improvement in school attendance.

Oh, the horror.

Now, once this was implemented statewide, other DAs used it to harass and jail people they deemed undesirable - in other words she failed to take other people's bigotry into account. Regrettable, but the responsibility for the bigotry of other DAs falls entirely on them.

She was the worst kind of law enforcement person. One who assumed guilt and enforced punishment beyond the scope of the law.

Not in evidence.
