New national survey finds 62% of voters say today’s political climate prevents them from saying what they believe.
I’m surprised that isn’t higher...perhaps they were too fearful to even say they feared expressing their opinion?
Cancel culture must end.

Does he actually realise this tweet completely undermines the very reasons he has been bleating on about for Barr sending in the Trumpstapo??

Oh I knew they made many, MANY chemicals. That was essentially their stock-in-trade in photography, producing trainloads of chemicals to develop zillions of feet of Ektachrome, Kodachrome, Tri-X, etc.

The questions was about pharmaceuticals. It's not a long stretch to see Kodak producing the base ingredients of some pharmaceutical processes using their idle technologies. But from there to actual viable drugs with the red K on them...it will take some time, I am guessing. Unless they are trying to fulfill Trump's need for injectable bleach...

What I'm hearing is that they are just going to be making "drug components" aka the precursors to hydroxychloroquine. Still going to be feedstocks, just a little more specialized and all about HCQ, and government subsidized. They are going to increase employment by about 200 in Rochester NY.

That's about what you would expect from a $400 mil investment. $2 mil per job is not too far off the going right, I don't think.

It would be more useful if they made the feedstocks for the active ingredients in hard surface disinfectants, which have been in short supply for months. If they registered as a pesticide producing establishment, they could even act as a toll blender and manufacture the complete active ingredients themselves for other companies that have already registered the actives with the EPA as manufacturing use products. Manufacture quaternary ammonium chlorides for companies like Lonza or Pilot, who sell them as manufacturing use products to other companies that then blend them into end use products. I think it's the feedstocks that are more of the problem though, similar to last year when Pilot was facing a shortage of a particular amine they use in quat manufacturing because their one supplier had cut production.

....

This rings plausible. Despite that Trump has normalized racism, there's still a stigma against saying that you think people of color are inferior.

And there's a stigma against wishing pain and suffering for Trump and the cultists.

There should be a stigma on wishing pain and suffering on anyone. So good, I guess, maybe some aspects of human culture may survive USA Politics (sic).

Which wouldn't be quite so unforgivable if there was evidence of HCQ's effectiveness. Instead it's 400 million dollars to make trump feel better.

Could we have a little less of this sort of nonsense. Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million votes, he got into the White House courtesy of the vagaries of the Electoral College and the fact that a relative handful of people in a few key states thought a 30% chance of Trump winning equalled a guaranteed Clinton
win, so stayed home because they didn't much like Clinton or registered a protest vote. Sure Trump's base will buy this, they'll buy anything he does, but the notion that people who were prepared to vote for Biden will switch to Trump because he posts a few less tweets? BS!
The day that I wrongly underestimate the intellectual capacity of the electorate is the day I will recalibrate.

I'm going to take this to heart. Turn over a new leaf. Be a better person. Embrace my better angel. Glass half full. A new day with a fresh, new outlook!
