I imagined each horizontal line would look more like Trump's signature, so less like a note and more like a sawblade.

President Trump signed an executive order creating an Advisory Commission on Hispanic Prosperity. He said the order in part aims to help the Hispanic community continue their successes in the U.S.

Looks like a pretty empty gesture (no real action taken, just 'forming a committee'),,, seems more an election ploy. "Remember when I called Mexicans rapists and locked a bunch of their children in cages? Well, to show how I'm not really racist I'm going to get a bunch of people together to brag about how well those smelly brown people are doing".

Not putting much stock in polls at this point, but today at 538 they posted the results of a presidential poll in Alaska. Trump had just a 3 point lead, within margin of error. If he's actually in trouble there, he's in really deep ****.

He might lose. The question is, will he leave? All things considered, I don't think we can be confident about the answer.

Oh, he'll leave. The question is how voluntary will the departure be and how much drama can he cause before doing so. Well, he and Barr.

At the request of Congressman Moolenaar, I have approved a major Disaster Declaration to provide more than $43 million in Federal Funds to help the people of the GREAT State of Michigan recover from the recent dam break flooding. I will always stand with Michigan!

How long until Trump jumos on Stephen Young' Anti Semetic statements to try to discredit the BLM Movement?
I am not making excuses for Young,,the guy deserves what he geta...and the BLM should drop him like a hot potato.

Who is Stephen Young and what did he say?

It's my understanding that the public education system in the US is a very localised matter, not a federal one. States, cities, counties do they're own things - simplistic, but hear me out. It also seems to me that "Trump territory" is exactly the territory that makes something of a fetish of localism - State rights, county rights, my town's rights. Trump fits fine with that when he's targeting globalism and foreigners, but now he's becoming the guy from "out of state" telling folk what to do. This is not the first such mis-step Trump's made during the pandemic.

It's not a mis-step.

"State's rights" are just a slogan. If a state wants to do something different than the sloganeer wants, then dammit, this is the special exception where the feds need to step in, to stop those traitors.

A lot of American sloganism is oppositeland. The civil war *did* have a state's rights element to it. Specifically, the Secessionists wanted their slave laws to apply to all states (eg other states' taxpayers should foot the bill for capturing escaped slaves). They couldn't get enough votes at the federal level to mandate it, so screw it, if we can't make other states do what we want - for free - then why are we in this union anyway?

For the 1/100th time, the reason we show so many Cases, compared to other countries that haven’t done nearly as well as we have, is that our TESTING is much bigger and better. We have tested 40,000,000 people. If we did 20,000,000 instead, Cases would be half, etc. NOT REPORTED!

PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!

The thought that came to my head was “Surely he is not that stupid, is he?”

Then I remember the surely rule: Trump questions that are in the
form of “surely he is not that (insert variable), is he?” are always answered with yes.

ETA
although it might be his alleged illness rather than his stupidity

I think you may have misspelled “wealthy white men who don’t even speak Spanish”

... We should sue him, seize every asset he owns in Canada ...

I think a worse punishment would be to let him keep it.

A friend of mine booked an anniversary night at the Vancouver Trump Hotel because his wife is some sort of fan, and when I asked him how it went, his review was: "It's a ********. My wife calls it Dump Tower now."

My theory is that he does not know how to operate a profitable business and loses money on these things, so let him keep 'em.
