The MSM has been rather shy about publishing an image of the driver Dawit Kelete. I wonder why.

Someone started a FB page on the tragedy.

Arrested was Dawit Kelete, 27, who was apprehended shortly after fleeing from the ‘hit and run’ scene in his luxury white Jaguar. Local media identified the suspect as a black man from Seattle who studied business and commerce at Washington State University between 2011 and 2017.

Like I said, road rage.

The MSN does not blast pics of suspects out when they don't have any verifiable pics.

If there were pics of the police hauling him off, that would be an official pic.

It's the weekend. Not sure if his booking pic has been released to the press yet. When it is, you will see the image all over the news.

Your CT belief that somehow the MSN would be hiding this guy's face because he's not white is ludicrous. This is big news.

Although I admit the most likely scenarios in my mind when i first heard were first drugs or alcohol and second a white person angry at protesters.

Anyone who thinks if it was a white man with a Trump bumper sticker on his car his race and political leanings would not have been the subject of articles on MSNBC, CNN, and ABC have blinders on.

Re the freeway tragedy:

The lawyer blocked any pictures at the arraignment. But the news interviewed the father and it clearly is the man pictured already.

His father was apologetic and quite distressed.

Bail set for 1.2 Million dollars. This guy isn't going anywhere.
The article says this was a purposeful attack, motive unclear, and that impairment wasn't a factor.

Do you really think the local news media isn't covering the skin color of this guy?

You need to move this to the CT forum.

The news covered the arraignment. The lawyer asked for no pictures and one station honored that but interviewed the father. (I noted up thread.) And another station show him but not his face.


I should mention there was a crowd that marched on the jail this guy is in. No doubt that might have been a lynch mob if they could get their hands on him.

That part of the freeway had been shut down due to the protesters. The protesters had several cars parked on the freeway, blocking southbound lanes at Yale.

Washington State Patrol Captain Ron Mead wanted to remind people that protesting on the freeway is illegal.

"What happened this morning is a tragedy," Mead said Saturday. "I mean it is a true tragedy, but what's occurring out here is unlawful behavior."

So the protesters were illegally blocking the freeway. Now I think I understand. Why did police allow this situation in the first place? Arrest the protesters, tow away the cars that are illegally parked on the freeway.
