It's not easy to feel sympathy for a person who beat someone up and stole their car at knife point, even if they were 16. Still, if it was "CHOP security" who shot him, they should be held accountable. If it was the people who he stole the car from, they should still be held accountable, but on a lesser charge.

My understanding is that it was "CHOP security" who shot them believing them to be right-wingers who were there to attack protesters. And yeah, I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for the carjackers, although they are very young (14 and 16) which perhaps explains why they were driving in circles like madmen. But they went to CHOP thinking that they would be safe from the police there.

This ear-witness report doesn't fit the timeline:
How is it then they were circling the Cal Anderson lawn well before they ended up at the street barricade? No cars were visible chasing them then. They could have parked the SUV and ran into the tent area.
And why go to the police precinct when that was blocked off to cars? The whole street for a few blocks was blocked off to cars.

They're panicked teenagers driving a stolen car. You expect their actions to be calm and reasonable? Maybe they were hoping to keep the car somehow and were trying to find a way to drive the car into the area behind the barricades.

Not at all. But I expect the evidence we do have to fit with what a witness says if we are to believe the account. She said she was on the phone, told them to go to CHOP then heard the shots. There is no time there for circling Cal Anderson first. Cal Anderson Park is/was part of CHOP in case you didn't know that.
It may turn out the reporters aren't getting her story straight re the timeline.
It may turn out her account is not correct.
I don't know. I'm just saying I'm not ready to conclude what happened here except it was tragic no matter what happened.

What we have here is road rage plus white racist, (maybe white supremacist) attitude.
That's by Chop security, you missed a word. It wasn't that long ago almost a week but I know there's a want among good liberal people to forget when CHOP security went psycho with their assault rifles and committed the extrajudicial murder of Antonio Mays, Jr.
What do I mean by going psycho ? Well this guy Marty Jackson, a volunteer medic in the CHOP says "that about 300 rounds were fired in the CHOP over Monday morning".
As it turns out, the driver of the Deathrace 2000 car was black so it's a simple matter of black on white crime. Nothing to see here folks, move along.

One of the women hit by the road-rager on the freeway has died. 24 years old.
From the video that the news media keeps stopping at the point of impact, he hit her straight on. She didn't even have time to try to get out of the way.
The police are now stopping protesters at the onramps and off ramps before they can get on the freeway to stop traffic.
