Because of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, 2020 will be the most RIGGED Election in our nations history - unless this stupidity is ended. We voted during World War One & World War Two with no problem, but now they are using Covid in order to cheat by using Mail-Ins!

The US military has been using mail in ballots since the Civil War.

It was the 1860s, the Civil War was raging and Republicans, led by President Abraham Lincoln, wanted to let Union soldiers vote from the battlefield. The opposition Democrats balked. They warned of rampant fraud and "a scheme" by Republicans "to gain some great advantage to their party," as one Wisconsin state senator put it before the legislature voted on party lines to become the first state to legalize absentee voting.

About 150,000 of the 1 million Union soldiers were able to vote absentee in the 1864 presidential election in what became the first widespread use of non-in-person voting in American history.

A century and a half later, amidst a new debate over voting by mail as the country prepares to hold an election during a different kind of war — this one against the coronavirus — America's long history of letting soldiers vote from far-flung war zones shows the issue has always been controversial, but that the worst fears of critics have never come to pass.

It's now easier in some ways for a Marine in Afghanistan to vote than it is for an American stuck at home during the COVID-19 lockdown. And some lawmakers and advocates want to use the rules that lets that Marine cast a ballot as a model for how all Americans could vote in the November presidential election if the pandemic continues.

Seems like if there really is an issue with the security of mail-in ballots then something should be done to make them more secure, not to simply remove it as alternative for minority voters (obviously old white people like President Trump will still be allowed to mail in their votes ).

Developed nations around the world seem to manage - is this yet another case of something that the US can't manage to do that most other countries somehow quite satisfactorily.

Then again, when evidence of voter fraud is found it tends to be (i) small scale and (ii) done by GOP voters in the majority of cases.

I didn't get a payment at all. Probably because we made too much last year. I'm surprised the program was that sensible.

I got like $866 so about just over 1/4 less than the 1200 everyone else in the house got. As i recall the sensibility was -5% of stim scratch for every 5% over the threshold, so that's -5% 5 to 6 times for -25% to -30%.

I"m watching Tim Murtaugh, Trump's campaign communications Director, on CNN trying to defend what Trump said during the rally, the number of attendees, etc. The amount of lies and spin coming from him is hysterical. It's amusing watching him squirm when he gets called out by Kate Balduon Brianna Keilar.
