This is a stretch, in my opinion. Remember, he *wanted* to give the speech in NC, to a massive audience.

Now, a person with a healthy ego would simply acnowledge the anniversary in their speech, discuss how far we've come, how they stand on the shoulder of giants, etc, without being cloying about it. You know, like Obama did in 2008 with MLK Jr. Dolt 45, however, is a pathetic fragile snowflake, and will likely brag about how great he is for "the blacks", or some other crap. Or just not mention it at all. And *that's* the problem.

Stephen Miller is still working for him, right? Passive-aggressive racist dickbaggery is his entire deal, nothing's too much of a stretch for him. I'm sure he's made a list of dates and places to grind in with his boot should the opportunity arise.

Trump has no desire to change any of his ways. He is steered slightly by his staff, but his relationship to black people will not change. Those people voted for Obama!

I don't think Trump is seriously wanting to continue for a second term. But this virus cutting him off from Trump rallies, that is the most serious issue for Trump now. Whether or not he gets re-elected, he wants to cash in on the adulation of his fans as often as possible for 6 months. Then he will be screaming about election tampering and "unfair" stuff the rest of his term. He will be perfectly happy to play the victim.

I don't know... The legal protections he gets from a subservient DoJ, along with the financial benefits (tax cuts that benefit his businesses, whatever bribes he can wrangle out of foreign governments, etc) sounds like a "prize" he might like.

I'm convinced that Trump did NOT plan that rally for that date and location just as a slap at black people. He simply isn't that aware. Someone else close to him, however, DID intentionally plan it that way.

He is now talking at West Point and my wife is watching. I've deferred my daily exercise routine in that room until he's done. I don't know how she can stand it.
