IANAL but I even doubt that would truly cancel the organizers’ legal liability. Trump has repeatedly downplayed the danger of COVID-19 and is actively encouraging, even insisting on risky behavior. Courts have held that signing a waiver form does not remove all your legal rights in a given matter.

I attended - and got roughed up by police - at the Nixon “Counter-Inauguration” demonstration.

Tulsa could be a powerful magnet for a massive Trump “Counter-Rally”. If pitched right, it could draw millions.

Similarly, Jacksonville’s Republican National Convention could likely draw a huge anti-Trump crowd as well.

Sure, either would just fire up Trump’s “Law and Order” base, but I think the sheer numbers, if successful, would have an impact outside of that.

I might just go to one or the other - though I’ve seen what they do to septuagenarians, and I might not bounce back as quickly as I did in 1969.
