If Trump is reelected, every week will be like the last week. The US will go into the abyss,and might not ever survive as a nation. I think the whole "Bluexit" option will become a reality.
 
I didn't see anyone mention this. Who's the least likely person you would expect to be thrown under the bus? Other than Trump himself.

White House officials say the photo op was Ivanka's idea.


According to The New York Times, Ivanka Trump, the president's daughter, had called for the photo shoot.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told a Tuesday senior staff meeting that Ivanka deserved the credit for that decision, Times reporter Maggie Haberman tweeted, citing two White House officials.

"Meadows said that while others were getting credit for the church appearance, it was Ivanka Trump who deserved the credit, per two officials," Haberman said.

"She thanked him and thanked the team for carrying it out, the officials said."

More lies from Trump. Acting Chief of US Park Services Monahan said that the Park Police used "smoke canisters and pepper balls (pepper spray projectiles) against the protesters. "Tear gas", while technically a synthetic chemical, is widely use to mean spray that causes tearing and burning of the eyes and throat. Pepper spray is natural chemical but certainly does both of those. The police were wearing gas masks which shows they were planning on using the spray.

A reporter picked up a canister used by the police which launches OC gas which causes tears, tightness of breath and comes out green. A picture of it was included in his tweet. You can see this in the videos.

As for the lie the protest was violent, video of the scene shows NO violence from the protesters and several witnesses all said there was no violence by protesters. These include reporters, protesters, the DC mayor.

It has nothing to do with being "sheep that need words from a daddy figure because they have a case of sad". When you're one person in a country of millions, there's essentially nothing you can do, personally, to change the course of the entire country. This is why we form governments and all their associated trappings. This way, we can mobilize enough people to do enough to actually effect change.

And when there's a major crisis, it's essential for the people we've elected to demonstrate that they're not actually a bunch of ****-headed morons, so that we can have confidence that the decisions they will have to make will at least be close to the correct ones.

It's the same reason pilots greet their passengers, and surgeons explain the procedure to patients. There are certain jobs that simply require that you prove you're not a ******* moron.

It would depend on where those blacks and Latinos are. Trump did not get many states with large urban populations. In the South, Trump got a large part of white voters, so it did not matter all that much if blacks voted or not.

Hillary got 34% which I am guessing included nearly all blacks that voted.

These attempts to retroactively deny fully-documented reality by inventing transparent lies are fascinating. Why do they bother? Their followers didn’t believe reality the first time through and everyone else see the retrofits as embarrassing lies. Trump didn’t shelter in the bunker; he was only inspecting it... several times? Come on.

It’s bad enough to say your dog ate your homework. It’s just infinitely stupid to claim your unicorn did.

I'm sorry, I thought I had the sarcasm setting high enough. What I meant was, who cares what was in your training? I'll bet your training also emphasized stuff like "don't cut off someone's airway for ten minutes" and "don't just arrest the first black guy you see at the scene of the crime." The training can say whatever you want, it'll only last until an old copper pulls the rookie aside to explain how things really work around here, and no one cares to say otherwise.

People who blindly believe, or are reassured by something that an important figure has said, are part of the problem. It's why mainstream media has always been so polarizing. I'm sure it has something to do with it.
