Plus, if they would allegedly stand by him if he shot someone, why would walking away from questions hurt him in any possible way?

Also, your definition of a leader and their definition of a leader are worlds apart. They admire the way he calls his opponents childish names. They admire his ballsiness and how he uses it to get away with lying.

This is slightly OT, but... watching this Daily Show comedy bit felt a bit traumatic to me. I can see the humor, but it just doesn't amuse me.

Those negotiations were expected to be particularly tough given Trump's divergence from the others on a number of issues, especially trade and climate change.

Alternately, if one feels like going to a somewhat darker place, the tweet can make sense. If the National Guard were to shoot and kill those criminal looter thugs, Trump could claim that "good" came of it - in a demented white supremacist sense. So then his death would have been meaningful.

Tangentially, this old youtube video compares black protests and white riots a bit. The difference in how they're covered and policed can be pretty incredible.

When I heard he was pushing for a new G7 conference, I was of the opinion that Canada should refuse to attend.

But now I'm thinking we should send Trudeau. And just Trudeau. No other members of the G7 should show up.

And then Trudeau should just troll the **** out of Trump. Wear a stupid shirt at every meeting, make faces at every photo op. Constantly "slip up" and refer to it as "The G2 meeting". When asked about plans that arise from the meeting, say, "Well, it's hard to make plans when the only other leader here is going to be - I'm sorry Donald, is probably going to be - out of office in less than a year."


ETA: And then we make a huge production out of quarantining Trudeau as soon as he crosses the border back into Canada. Like, set up a giant decontamination tent just inside the border, spray the entire car, guys with brushes scrubbing JT down, lots of suds and nudity for the ladies.
