Firing someone - depriving them of their livelihood and reputation - without knowing why or anything about them, just because someone asked you to, is "not important"?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. If that's true, he's as big a douche as I've always thought. Frankly, anything that comes out of Trump's mouth I immediately don't believe. Instead of having to prove he's lying, it has to be proved he's not lying. Thus is the level of his lying. The only thing worse than those having believed this POS in 2016 is those who continue to believe him. What does it take? A freakin' kick in their teeth to get through to these knuckleheads?

We all know what happens to people who displease or contradict Trump. But this should come as no surprise to anyone who agrees to work at the WH. I keep picturing Dr. Dennison as Anthony in the "It's a Good Life" episode of The Twilight Zone.

When Trump temporarily decided to stop having afternoon briefings, I sent aessage to a friend saying we are now in a Twilight Zone episode:

I have a big problem with White House doctors covering for the lies of a President when it could possibly affect the health of others.
People have died already from taking his advice on chloroquine, and more will die when told that Trump gets it prescribed by the WH doctor to prevent Covid.

Trump gets people killed all the time. Doctors shouldn't help him do it.

In which case, IMO, it is the duty of the WH medical staff to make it clear that they do not support the use of hydrocholoquine to prevent Covid.

AIUI the thinking is, if you do the latter, then you will be fired or relieved of your post, a woefully under-qualified Trump appointee will be installed and the public will be in even worse shape than if you keep your head down and work quietly to undo the worst of his excesses.

Then again, IMO there's little evidence of adults in the room, so maybe it makes no real difference.

My reading of it is that Laura Ingram is exhorting Neil Cavuto to take it because it will kill him - a just and proper punishment for saying something which contradicts the President.

Or at least that's how President Trump is interpreting it and why he has retweeted the post.
