Donald Trump asks government to bail out his Scottish golf courses

BILLIONAIRE Donald Trump has asked the UK Government to bail out his golf courses in Scotland as they struggle to cope with the economic chaos of the coronavirus crisis.

The Trump Organisation is looking to furlough workers at its Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire courses.

In the States, the company is legally barred from seeking any government aid.

Trump supporters waking up and mainlining toilet duck before going out to stand carrying assault rifles in front of nurses, has fair put a spring in my step this morning.

"We're going to start you on 500mls of IV Toilet Duck. This won't hurt very much or for very long."

Have you tried EnChroma color blind correcting glasses?

I appreciate the thought, but testing shows those are really not effective. The company themselves point out that they won't help you pass any colorblindness test, nor will you be able to use them in any job that requires color vision.

They're $3-400 fancy sunglasses.

Can anyone explain to me why the Dems (respectively now Joe Biden) do not hammer out at least one tweet every day, pointing to the idiocy this clown is constantly producing?

And please use a catchy nickname too, like idiot-in-chief or whatever.

Taunt him, point to his craziness, make his fingers bleed...

Do something!

There is an idiom in law... which apparently is a quote from Napoleon

Never interrupt your opponent when he's making a mistake.

They're saving all that stuff for closer to Election time. Oh, and will there be a lot of stuff!

At least one person died and his wife almost died because they took something that they thought was chloroquine -- but wasn't.
https://www.nbcnews.com/health/heal...oroquine-attempt-prevent-coronavirus-n1167166
People on chloroquine with CV are twice as likely to die as those not on it .
The chances are anything you take is likely to be safer than chloroquine, well perhaps anything except household disinfectant, but no one is stupid enough to suggest you put that in your body.

There's an old military adage, "Never interrupt the enemy when he's in the middle of making a mistake".

Sure, they could jump on all his stupidity as it occurs, but then he might actually catch a clue, and stop saying stupid things. He'd still do stupid things, because he is, in fact, quite stupid, so people would still be getting hurt by his stupidity, but we wouldn't have nearly as much fodder for election ads later in the election process.

If the Dems had really jumped on his early advocacy for unproven drugs, we might never have gotten the brilliance of bleach and UV injections.

Hitting the airways in September with a virtually unending list of stupid Trumpisms collected over the spring and summer will be far more effective than a weekly drip-drip-drip that people eventually tune out.

It's kind of like that one episode of Archer where they spent a minute just listing out some of the wacky adventures they'd had in previous episodes. When you hear it all at once, you really remember how whacked out that show really was.

And that doesn't even mention the Space Pirates!

I remember a Simpsons episode where Homer (or someone else) listed out all the jobs he'd had. I had seen all the episodes up until that point but yes, putting them all together at the same time sounded absurd. Snow plow driver, country music singer manager, astronaut. Oh, and Safety Inspector for Sector 7-G, of course. To name a few.

But this time Trump is completely correct. Drink, or inject a bottle or two of bleach and you will not die of Coronavirus.

This is a good example of how the Trump/FOX propaganda apparatus works. Tuesday afternoon at the White House press conference Trump falsely states:
“I think I read yesterday a report that we’ve done more than everybody — every other country — combined,” Trump said on Tuesday, adding later: “We’ve tested more than every other country in the world even put together.” Link

Just an hour or two later, Fox News' Sean Hannity 'reports:'
Sean Hannity declared that Trump deserved credit for “the greatest medical mobilization this country has ever seen” and said that the United States is “also leading the world on testing, no country even close. It has tested more of its citizens than any other country — many countries combined as a matter of fact.” Link

What Hannity 'reports' is subtly different -- Fox has reportedly become concerned about its potential legal liability for false reporting -- but for a Trump supporter it's close enough. All countries combined, many countries combined.

A Trump supporter's takeaway is going to be:
The president has done an outstanding job. Not enough testing is fake news. We've actually tested more people than every other country combined. Or many other counties. Or most countries or... I forget. I think it's all countries combined. I just know president Trump is doing an awesome job.

Ayep.

Plus, President Trump hates being ignored.

If the Dems decided that a tweet had to go out, I think the best results would come from “The President has said some very silly things during his conferences. Don’t worry, once the White House staff explains the need to stop making silly comments, he will go back to leading the country.”

Trump is in meltdown mode. That's not easy to detect because he's always melting to some extent. But it's specially bad right now.

That's not something that Biden needs to go out his way to call out. Sometimes it's best to stand back and let it play out.

Biden's response

(7:41 pm yesterday)

UV light? Injecting disinfectant?

Here’s an idea, Mr. President: more tests. Now. And protective equipment for actual medical professionals
.

Orange child emperor, playing with LEGOs: more tests? Tests are boring! You said there would be no more tests after I grachuated high school! Get outta my playroom, I mean, my oval office! And get me another cup of covfefe! And arrange a press conference, this is boring!

I had read an article the other day that his aides are looking for any way possible to get him out of the White House and some form of attention. Visiting a hospital, shaking veteran's hands, etc.

You guys are absolutely right. He's losing his mind being inside and it's been forever since he's been able to bask in the glow of his followers adulation. I truly think that's why he started the pressers. He just needed to be in front of a camera, be noticed, and feel admired.

Heh. Reminds me of the scene in Soapdish when Whoopi Goldberg cheers up Sally Field by taking her to a mall in New Jersey and pretending to be a stranger recognizing a big celebrity, kicking up a "spontaneous" admiring crowd for her.
