“The number of New Yorkers admitted to hospitals has dropped.”

Good news!

Once we OPEN UP OUR GREAT COUNTRY, and it will be sooner rather than later, the horror of the Invisible Enemy, except for those that sadly lost a family member or friend, must be quickly forgotten. Our Economy will BOOM, perhaps like never before!!!

No you moron, that's exactly what we shouldn't do. This was a wake-up call and one that should never be forgotten, especially as it exposed a clear lack of preparedness by nearly every country.

Quickly forgotten? You're not very good at this, Mr. President.

To poke elsewhere, because Wisconsin...

Patriotic and terrible at the same time. May the Wisconsin Republicans and the Supreme Court receive harsh judgement for their crime here.

Oh, and for the absurdity of it...

...It's a real life "Nothing to see here" moment, because the movie fiction ones weren't enough for us.
Not merely safe. "Incredibly" safe. That's so demented that it's mind boggling. And thats not easy to accomplish these days.

I think that maybe you missed the sarcasm that seemed really obvious after including the part after what you highlighted.

I did. Though, in my defense, we've had our share of insanity pretending at sanity.

Frankly, the Supreme Court's [latest] anti-democratic, pro-death decision has me about as angry as I've ever been, so I should probably re-center myself before I try to post again.

The court that decided in-person voting is fine reached that decision after a virtual hearing.

Yup.

This pandemic revealed the exact kind of attack that can cripple America for months, if not years.

An attack that requires critical thinking skills to plan a response to and a minimal sense of communitarian consideration for one another to implement that response.

Any attack like that, we are totally hobbled. It's our 6m wide exhaust port on the death star.

I need to make a 'thank you' call to my former Boss, the one I keep quoting who used to say, "You can't make this stuff up."

Trump has announced Kayleigh McEnany -- his former 2020 campaign spokesperson -- has been named the new White House press secretary, replacing Stephanie Grisham who, in nine months as press secretary, never held a press conference. Here's the new White House press secretary with Fox News' Trish Regan (since terminated) on February 25th. McEnany 'commented,' "We will not see diseases like the coronavirus come here, we will not see terrorism come here, and isn't it refreshing when contrasting it with the awful presidency of President Obama?" But see it as it happened! From Fox news

The "awful presidency" of Barack Obama? Oh yeah, she had ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome), she had it bad. This ought to be fun. :(

Republicans should fight very hard when it comes to state wide mail-in voting. Democrats are clamoring for it. Tremendous potential for voter fraud, and for whatever reason, doesn’t work out well for Republicans.
@foxandfriends

Trump voted by mail in the Florida primary:
“You voted by mail in Florida’s election last month, didn’t you?” the reporter asked.

“Sure,” the president replied. “I can vote by mail.”

“How do you reconcile with that?”

“Because I’m allowed to,” Trump said.

He is correct on on thing. When most people are allowed to vote, it doesn't work out well for Republicans.

I really want to hear some of our local Trump apologists defend this.

Well, like they would really devote much time to that - there will always be a justification. God maybe has especially blessed Florida postal votes or whatever. It will not matter. The best we can hope is that the remaining empirically based Republicans will jump the ship. The deplorable (a total understament) majority simply will not: facts don't register with them.

Well, to be complete about it, Trump's stated reason for being "allowed to" is that he can't be in Florida to vote in person. To me, though, that's irrelevant to the point of why mail-in voting itself is supposed to be a bad idea. If the point is that it's a system subject to "massive" fraud (an assertion offered, as usual, without any evidence to back it up), then it doesn't matter why you want to allow exceptions, your point is a systemic one that doesn't allow any. If, OTOH, you admit the system is robust enough to assume honest voting from out of state (like yours), then there's no reason to assume that that wouldn't also apply to in-state voting. Trump wants to make his vote an exception for a reason that has nothing to do with his putative reason for disallowing the same votes from other people.

I'll defend it.

He's allowed to. What's to defend?

I often hear all sorts of variations of:

Politician: X should not be allowed!

Critic: But you did X. How can you defend that?

A variation is:

Politician: X ought to be required.

Critic: But you didn't do X, and you could have.

Both are stupid arguments. I think taxes ought to be higher. However, I'm not going to voluntarily send in a check.

Trump voted by mail because it's the most convenient way for him to vote. It's allowed.

In my personal opinion, it's a perfectly good way to vote, but that's not even relevant, nor is Donald Trump's view of whether or not it ought to allowed relevant. What I do and what I think ought to be legal are not, generally, related.

If I were to say, "It is morally wrong to do X", and then I do X, that's somewhat hypocritical, but that's not the case for this argument, or for many, many, similar arguments.

Again, he said, "I think mail-in voting is horrible, it's corrupt."

And he did it.

FLATTENING OF THE CURVE!

Bernie Sanders is OUT! Thank you to Elizabeth Warren. If not for her, Bernie would have won almost every state on Super Tuesday! This ended just like the Democrats & the DNC wanted, same as the Crooked Hillary fiasco. The Bernie people should come to the Republican Party, TRADE!

Wow, Bernie is unwilling to give up his delegates, and wants more of them! What’s that all about?

Can’t see AOC plus 3 supporting Sleepy Joe!
