The Trump Presidency: Part 20

Trump warns that easier voting means 'you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again'.

Donald Trump called in to Fox & Friends*Monday morning and openly admitted*that if more people vote, Republicans will lose.

I mean, we know they all think it, but I didn't think he'd stupid enough to say it out loud.

Wow. That's stooooopid even for Trump and that's saying something!

And he followed up his unfounded accusation with “ So, somebody should probably look into that, because I just don't see, from a practical standpoint, how that's possible to go from that to that."

So, the president describe the most serious crime in the country and follows up with “So, somebody should probably look into that”, how the **** can people look at him and say he has leadership skills?

Just like how he complained that 3 million illegal voters are why he didn’t win the popular vote. And that someone should look into that. Then he set up a group for a nice witch hunt.

Soon we should expect Breitbart articles with huge headlines about hospitals ‘hoarding’ ventilators because a single unit didn’t get shared somewhere in Providence, RI.

He's praising himself for having 1-million people tested..And now some douche-bag is up there praising Trump and Pence and the rest of the Trump regime and lying about how great of a job the government did on this so far.

Praising Dear Leader is the only chance they have of keeping their jobs. Doc Fauci is 79. He could have retired years ago, but he's still trying hard to serve America and humanity.

I’m glad I don’t drink because I would make myself sick trying to drink enough to forget President Trump saying

“Think of it: 151 countries. Somebody said to me today that wasn't in this particular world -- they didn't know that we had that many countries. A hundred and fifty-one countries. That's something."

I wonder who said that. Maybe it was John Barron. I can't imagine his shocked face if he were told we have closer to two-hundred countries. It would be unsettling if someone in Trump's circle at this critical time expressed surprise at such a basic factoid. Of course, it's much, much worse: the president doesn't know.

Trump just claimed he knows S. Korea better than anyone. He then claimed Seoul has 38 million people. Seoul, in fact, has just under 9.8 million people. Yep...better than anyone.

Well, he got the 8 right. Half credit.

The theme of today's press conference seemed to be, "Look at all the companies working with us to fight the virus."

That's good. That would have been even better if it had been the theme of the press conference at the beginning of March instead of at the end, but we'll take what we can get. They say 100,000 tests per day. I like that. Numbers like that might start to turn the tide, as early detection becomes a possibility.

Exactly which "particular world" were they thinking of then? Or was it that the "Somebody" just "wasn't in this particular world"?

Ours. After the US conquers 44 of them. Or Russia, with the US' help. Sometimes, it's hard to keep track of these things.

From Twitter:

"Trump just said Seoul has a population of 38 million people."

Ian Young replies:

"I am approximately 1,000,000 per cent certain that Trump Googled "Seoul" specifically to make this observation and then confused Seoul's elevation for its population."

He attached a picture of search results showing the elevation of Seoul is 38 m (125 feet).

Ugh.

I think this "somebody said to me" is his inner voice. The same one that said, "I didn't even know there was a category 5 hurricane?" despite it being the third or fourth of his presidency.

Ugh.

Pure gold. Elevation - population, they both end with "tion".

A monkey would do a better job.

That would certainly explain it. Trump likely wanted to have something on hand that he could throw in to make him look smart. Epic fail

Well, Tokyo has a population of 38 million. Maybe he just confused the two.

He is undoubtedly a dunderhead, but I would not put this one in the top 100 exhibits.
