Ed Corona Virus Conspiracy Theories....

We shouldn't overlook the evidence that the virus will only those with traces of Alien Reptile DNA - or those without Alien Reptile DNA, one of those two.

No worries, it only affects the Mongols.

The article this month on the website of the publication Zvezda claimed, bizarrely, that the coronavirus “affects only members of the Mongol race,” and “such suspicious selectivity raises questions from experts.” Among the theories it floated were that Soros, a frequent Russian propaganda bogeyman, helped finance a lab in Wuhan, China, that developed and released the virus. “11 million people, and China to blame if the virus spreads,” Zvezda quotes one “expert” as saying. “The U.S. and Soros will be off the hook completely. This is a really great plan.”

These sorts of claims are standard fare for viral conspiracy theories and disinformation amid a high-profile crisis such as the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed, such conspiracy theorists also blamed Soros, and an oddly similar-sounding bioweapons lab in Sierra Leone, for the outbreak of the Ebola virus in 2014.

Help me understand this:Corona virus was patented in 2014 ???https://patents.google.com/patent/US10130701B2/en

The explanation is right there in the abstract:

a live, attenuated coronavirus comprising a variant replicase gene encoding polyproteins comprising a mutation in one or more of non-structural protein(s) (nsp)-10, nsp-14, nsp-15 or nsp-16. The coronavirus may be used as a vaccine for treating and/or preventing a disease, such as infectious bronchitis, in a subject.

This is an increasingly common CT when it comes to the latest viral outbreaks. Any earlier attempt to create or patent a vaccine is held up as proof that it was "engineered", or that they "knew it was going to happen" before the outbreak occurred. I first saw it with the H1N1 swine flu, but it's pretty much a standard feature of CTs now.

The key factor here is that "coronavirus", like "H1N1" before it, isn't a name unique to the particular virus we're dealing with right now, it describes an entire class of viruses, that have been generally known for many years. This provides a plethora of cites that CTists can use to "prove" their claims to people who don't understand the terminology*.

*For the record, that included me when I first encountered this. But I knew enough to ask about it, rather than just running around screaming that "They're coming for us!"

Is it a coincidence that the outbreak will cause Easter to get effectively cancelled?

Clearly, Jesus was about to return, and this is a last-ditch effort by Satan to stop him.

I recently found the following link - http://www.centerforhealthsecurity.org/event201/scenario.html - , about something called "Event 201" which is described as follows:

The Event 201 scenario
Event 201 simulates an outbreak of a novel zoonotic coronavirus transmitted from bats to pigs to people that eventually becomes efficiently transmissible from person to person, leading to a severe pandemic. The pathogen and the disease it causes are modeled largely on SARS, but it is more transmissible in the community setting by people with mild symptoms.

A quote from the link:
The scenario ends at the 18-month point, with 65 million deaths.

Conspiracy nuts are going to have a field day with this. They love their drills and simulations as evidence of planning the real thing. A lot of the details aren't right at all (the simulation involves the disease going from bats to pigs to humans in Brazil where the pandemic starts), but the fact that it mentions coronavirus and SARS-like disease will give them ammunition.

Here is a genuine conspiracy theory...

ScienceAlert said:
Multiple posts on Facebook and Twitter alleged that the novel coronavirus was created on purpose - with theories including that it was manufactured by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The posts included patents to buffer their claim. But these were in fact patents registered in an effort to combat different strains of coronavirus, for example by developing vaccines.

Here's a CT for you: That is pushed by China (actually, true. They even summoned the Chinese ambassador to the WH to WTF him) to divert from China actually having created it, and released it accidentally...or not accidentally.

Do you realize it's plot of a movie Contagion ?

What is it that's the "plot of a movie, Contagion", what's really going on in the world now or what I posted about Event 201?

Contagion doesn't involve a coronavirus (the inspiration for the virus in Contagion was Nipah virus and the movie specifically says it's a paramyxovirus) or an outbreak in Brazil. It does say the virus went from bats to pigs to humans, similar to the scenario in Event 201, but beyond that it's only superficially the same scenario as either, in that it's a virus pandemic that spreads out of control.

I've no doubt it's just a coincidence, I'm sure plenty of simulations and role-playing exercises have been done by govt. agencies, universities, think tanks, etc. where a deadly new flu strain, SARS-like coronavirus, nipah virus, etc. or other scary infectious agents were imagined as the causal agent.

I'm not sure what point you're making about the movie Contagion.

That basic idea is older than Contagion, the plot of the 1970s BBC TV serial 'Survivors' was based around a disease with a 99% kill rate. It's never stated in the episodes proper where it came from, but the title sequence (Which can be found on YouTube.) implies it was an accidental release from a Chinese bio-weapons lab.

The 2000s reboot of the series used the 'attempt to create a vaccine created a killer virus' plot line, which is one that pops up in quite a few earlier series, 'Seven Days' a 1990s time travel series had one episode where the heroes are trying to save someone who has come up with a cure for cancer. The person trying to kill them has come from the future where the 'cure' has mutated into a killer virus.

Quite simply plotlines of this type have been bubbling along ever since the 1975 swine flu scare.
