I can see why you would argue that, because you persist in refusing to acknowledge how much support an anti-establishment candidate like Sanders has.

Honestly, I would rather listen to someone who bases their arguments on facts and not on imaginings.

But, she lost an extremely tight election (even winning the popular vote), against a candidate that had received assistance from foreign governments. Overall, I don't think that loss says as much about anti- vs. pro-establishment as it does about the success of Republican smear tactics against her.

Do you really think there are so many anti-establishment candidates out there that going after some of that vote would make up for ignoring pro-establishment people?

Remember, Clinton didn't become president in 2016, but then neither did Sanders. He couldn't even convince the majority of Democrats that his anti-establishment was the way to go.

Look, I'm not suggesting we go for the anti-establishment candidate just because he's an anti-establishment candidate. I'm just arguing against what I take to be your position: We should reject the anti-establishment candidate just because he's the anti-establishment candidate.

I think that's a huge mistake and I feel rather strongly about that.

I don't know how true this is and I'm skeptical as hell, but it certainly seems plausible.

Again, remember Michelle Obama herself has shot down suggestion to run for office in the past. It just looks like emergency ideas on how to stop Sanders floated by party officials.

They better not piss off Bernie Sanders supporters. Ooh boy. This might be their primary election, but it might be safer to concede to the will of the voters rather than be completely honest about what they really wanted out of the primaries.

It looks like Biden might have gotten a bounce out of his second place in Nevada. If he wins big in SC, he will probably effectively kill off the other moderates for Tuesday, though with Sanders still in first and Bloomberg in third.

If Sanders has this massive support, why doesn't it show in any of the polls you tout? The ones you love when the results are what you want them to be.

Looks like they interviewed one Democratic Party member and claim a petition to Michelle means she's considering it.:rolleyes:

Keep in mind I was responding to dudalb, who persists in saying that Bernie's chances of beating Trump depends on some mythical "Lost Tribe" of voters, despite being repeatedly shown polls that have Sanders beating Trump in battleground states.

Having said that, in the polls I'm looking at Sanders is the leading candidate in the Democratic primary.

Finally, you claim "The ones you love when the results are what you want them to be"--Do you have some knowledge of polls that don't show Sanders in the lead? Sure, you can find stray polls where Trump beats Sanders, but if you focus on those alone then you are doing the cherry picking, not me. They don't reflect the general consensus of the polls.

Amy Klobuchar? No. Why? Because she's done nothing to convince me that she's better than Warren.

She does have one advantage over Warren... She is over a decade younger.

Being president is a stressful job. It ages a politician. I want the Democrats to hold the white house for at least 2 terms.

One off the risks to Sanders, Binden, and to a lesser extent Warren is that due to their age they may not serve more than 1 term. (They may retire after 4 years, or die in office.) And then the Democrats would lose the advantage to having an incumbent running for a second term.

Klobuchar is young enough that she should be able to easily handle 2 terms.

Today: Persist PAC placed $9 million in ad buys to support Warren in Super Tuesday states. Warren may have the largest Super PAC of the race.

Yeah, it will be really bad for the party, and maybe Biden, if they run neck and neck and it goes to the convention and superdelegates. Biden nominated. Bernie Brothers will retreat and not show up to vote at all.
