The fallback is always Obama. Donnie promised:
“We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump said in an interview with The Washington Post. Link

So many lies, so little time. ;)
...the uninsured rate dropped to a historic low by 2016....In 2017, the number of uninsured rose for the first time since implementation of the ACA to 27.4 million. Link

The number of uninsured was expected to rise by another three million people last year.

That may not be a surprise given the White House’s approach to health policy. It has consistently criticized the Affordable Care Act. And it has sought to weaken it legally, pulling back on funding to publicize coverage opportunities, and approving policies that make it harder for eligible people to enroll and stay enrolled in state Medicaid programs. The administration has signaled that the use of certain public health insurance programs, like Medicaid, might count against immigrants applying for green cards. Link
I'm sure president Trump could care less.

I'm sure president Trump could couldn't care less.

Sorry...one of my pet peeves so forgive me. But, once a teacher, always a teacher. :D

That nose of Trumpnocchio is far too short. If his nose grew longer every time he told a lie, he'd have to present his passport every time he faced north for Mar a Lago.

Can you be pardoned for something you haven’t been convicted of in the US?

Yes. In ex parte Garland (1866), the Supreme Court wrote that "The power of pardon...extends to every offence known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment."

The President can pardon somebody any time after the offense has been committed. But such pardons are rare.

Ford pardoned Nixon. Carter pardoned Vietnam draft dodgers. Bush Sr. pardoned Caspar Weinberger.

I thought Trump promised to improve it. What happened?

I don't know anything about it, so that's why I asked. Surely it had a purpose? In any case, Tennessee has "Tenncare" that covers 20% of the people in the state, along with 50% of the kids and 50% of the births.

If the Democrats really want to come up with a plan to cover those who don't have health insurance, they need to come up with a plan that doesn't take my health insurance away, along with the other 150 million people who would lose their insurance under Comrade Bernie's stupid plan.

The economy is roaring (but less than it was under Obama and with a heck of a lot more deficit spending and emergency recovery measures being employed to try to prevent it from going into a normal mild recession as the market corrects itself), wages are going up (some, but not as much as should be expected with a relatively tight labor market because of the constant undermining of the power of labor), unemployment is at all-time lows (with a very unfortunately high rate of those jobs, especially the new ones, not paying anywhere close to a livable wage), were dialing down the wars (by betraying allies in some of the worst ways possible), and the Democrats want to trade that for socialism (like repairing infrastructure) and unconstitutional gun grabbing (if you believe the right wing lies that have been proven false over and over and over), which may very well lead to civil war (as right-wingers show their contempt for law, order, and truth). No thanks. I'll go with (a poor facade of) peace and prosperity.

FTFY.

Bolton is a moron for going through the approval process for his book.

He probably had to, publishers might have told him to.

Now it's up to someone who has seen the manuscript to 'blow the whistle' Once it's out in public, I believe it can no longer be blocked from publication. That's what happened with the Pentagon Papers.

That doesn't happen. *Everyone* would get Health Insurance. It simply means that everyone would have the SAME health insurance.

What you've stated is fake news.

It doesn’t reveal that at all. It could reveal the president thought the sentence was too long.
What do you feel commuting the sentence of FALN members reveals. An approval of using bombs in NYC to make a political statement and an utter contempt for police and federal buildings and those who may be in them.
My opinion is it revealed President Clinton thought the sentences were too long and those who had their sentences commuted had served enough time.

For any other president of whatever flavour, that would be true. Not any more.

Generally much better and more comprehensive health insurance, too - fairly certainly with less total costs to deal with, for that matter. Savings that would actually be conveyed to the people, rather than the companies.

Why didn’t somebody tell me this?

Looks like Crazy Bernie is doing well in the Great State of Nevada. Biden & the rest look weak, & no way Mini Mike can restart his campaign after the worst debate performance in the history of Presidential Debates. Congratulations Bernie, & don’t let them take it away from you!

I believe the standard reply is, “but...but...Death Panels. The government will decide to stop paying for expensive health care near the end of my life.” That argument ignores the fact that there are death panels now and an insurance company can simply drop you.

As for “I want the insurance I have now!”” If the GOP gets its way pre-existing conditions will not be covered. So, the insurance you have now might be great until you change jobs.

Of course POTUS likes this tweet. The speaker says I consider your political views to be so full of BS that the most appropriate response is to physically attack you. That makes perfect sense in Trump-world. He wishes he could punch Congresswoman Warren (or more precisely, he wishes he could send government employees to go punch Warren).

ETA Damn, now I am focusing what it would look like if President Trump threw a punch at someone. He has no practical experience, no military training, no martial arts training. I’m picturing a Joe-Besser type of punch in which one strikes one’s opponent with one’s wrist.

Awesome. That must mean the military expenditures are dropping. Can we use those funds for repairing infrastructure (a totally not-socialist expense that all experts agree is overdue)?

No. I looked it up. Military budget is increasing.

After all, We’ve got to make sure those military contractors can grow their business every year.

By that I take it you mean we've abandoned our allies in Syria and are getting played by the Taliban.
