Thank you to our great US Ambassador to Germany, @RichardGrenell, for stepping in to serve as acting DNI. I will be nominating a terrific candidate for the job very soon. Stay tuned!

I was thrilled to be back in Colorado Springs tonight, beneath the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountains, with thousands of terrific, hardworking American Patriots. With your help, this November, we are going to defeat the Radical Socialist Dems, and we are going to WIN Colorado!

“She should never have been on that jury. Everything about this stinks.” @JudgeJeanine @seanhannity @FoxNews

I know it's just bluster for the public, but I do think it's cute the way Trump thinks that the 'Dems' are radical socialists.

Why ?

President Trump seems to be doing a great job for them. His base are fully on board and aren't guaranteed to turn out to vote for a different GOP candidate whilst he's doing enough to keep the GOP faithful and evangelicals on board.

Any other GOP candidate would risk weakening the support of those groups. Indeed President Trump perfectly encapsulates the current day GOP.
Indeed.
The Republican Party has wholly committed itself to Trump, and maintains steady approval and support for him in the %90 range. They cannot now- or in the future- separate themselves from his policies and actions, any more than the Democrats can separate themselves from the policies and actions of their last POTUS that received such support.

GWTW's running time is an interminable 3hrs 58 minutes, far outstripping Trump's attention span. He's never watched the thing in one sitting, or more likely, not at all. Sort of like the bible. He's as full of it as a human can be, yet still an empty vessel.

It's been reported that when he watched the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie "Bloodsport", he had someone fast forward through all of the scenes with plot and dialogue so he could just watch the fight scenes. Gone With the Wind would put him in a coma.

Exactly.
The president couldn’t quote any single line from the Bible to save his fortune. FFS, he didn’t even recognize forgive your enemies as an important tenet of Christianity.

I have about 4 dozen questions I would love to see the president try to answer. To that list, I’ll add, “GoneWithThe Wind has a number of memorable lines, can you quote one?” There are many people over 60 who have never seen the movie who could answer that question. Heck, with his attention span I think he might be stumped if someone asked him to name any three famous movie quotes.

It's really just yet another weary sign of how out of touch Trump is. It becomes quite exhausting trying to get excited about it any more, it's just expected.

By the way, how bad were the Academy Awards this year? Did you see it? And the winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about? We got enough problems with South Korea with trade, on top of it they give them the best movie of the year.
They didn't give the best movie award to 'South Korea' - they gave it to a movie from South Korea. Are only American films allowed to win the Best Picture Oscar? They need all the help they can get - oh no wait, they win almost every year. Or should we make sure that only countries that have 'good' trading relations with the US be permitted to win. Interesting. I guess it adds another dynamic.

Was it good? I don’t know yet.
But you're ready to complain about it. Classy. Also 'yet' - I'm willing to bet you never get within breathing distance of seeing that film.

I’m looking for, let’s get Gone with the Wind. Can we get Gone with the Wind back, please? Sunset Boulevard. So many great movies.
Get it back? Did it go somewhere? It's one of the highest grossing films of all time, I don't think it's hard to find. Should one of these films win every year? Should we just declare that Sunset Boulevard is the greatest film ever and forget the whole thing? It didn't even win the Best Picture award - I prefer films that are winners.

(Don't get me wrong, I'm not a huge fan of the awards system, but that's a secondary point)

So @TeamCavuto has very bad ratings on @foxnews with his Fake guests like A.B.Stoddard and others that still haven’t figured it all out. Will he get the same treatment as his friend Shepherd Smith, who also suffered from the ratings drought?

Another misinformation campaign is being launched by Democrats in Congress saying that Russia prefers me to any of the Do Nothing Democrat candidates who still have been unable to, after two weeks, count their votes in Iowa. Hoax number 7!

IF OUR FORMALLY TARGETED FARMERS NEED ADDITIONAL AID UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE TRADE DEALS WITH CHINA, MEXICO, CANADA AND OTHERS FULLY KICK IN, THAT AID WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, PAID FOR OUT OF THE MASSIVE TARIFF MONEY COMING INTO THE USA!

It's been reported that when he watched the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie "Bloodsport", he had someone fast forward through all of the scenes with plot and dialogue so he could just watch the fight scenes...

Some years ago, way before he was running for president, one of the magazines in New York City did a profile on him. Trump let the writer accompany him for a few days. The writer said that while in Trump's limo, to pass the time (they were often stuck in the Big Apple's horrendous traffic) Trump had a collection of action films, all edited to just show the fight scenes. Trump was usually with one of his sons and they both obviously really enjoyed them.

In a foretaste of what was to come, the writer also noted, while out and about, Trump normally drew waves and cheers when people like cab drivers, traffic cops and passing truckers spotted him. Trump said, "Oh they love me."

If it were any other politician, that would sound like such a bizarre claim to make that it would probably be dismissed by the average skeptic here.

Yet with Trump, we have seen so much evidence of his mental problems (excessive ego, inability to focus, lack of stability) that not only does that particular claim seen plausible, it actually seems likely.

Any method for shortening the duration of a Jean Claud VanDamme film, strikes me as eminently sensible.

Bloodsport is awesome and will fight like Frank Dux if anyone says otherwise. It's the one thing Trump and I are kindred spirits about.

That's what I was referencing, but I thought I remembered him telling his son to fast forward the movie while they watched it on a plane.

You'd think the democrats would be able to muster at least one solid, inspiring and all-around decent candidate.

I'd say Sanders and Warren come closest to that description.

Sanders? Are You Kidding? His nomination would seal the deal for Trump. Don't buy what the Bernie Bros are selling you.

What an ass. This kind of thing is just normal now.

Also, what he said afterward:

So he complained about a movie he hasn't seen simply on the basis that it is foreign made, and then whines that they aren't making movies like Gone With The Wind anymore?

He's playing on Xenophobia;what else is new? He has been doing that since day one.
And I think that as a example of the kind of film he thinks Hollywood should be making he picks a film the stereotypes all the Black charecters is not a coincidence.
