Ha. Remember how during the Ukraine Hoax, liberals tried arguing that Trump does not care about corruption? Here he is commuting a sentence that was way too long and unfair. Plus, Blago's a Democrat!

Read the articles. Pretty much every one of them is friends with Trump, or has friends of Trump advocating for their pardon.

Two possibilities IM unqualified O:

Either he's sulking and thinks this is getting even with someone.

Or, he's throwing out a bunch of shiny squirrels because no one is paying enough attention to him with all the Democratic polls and debates.

Or maybe a bit of both.

The judge said that the fine was only $2 million because all the money eventually went to the veterans and if any had been stolen the fine would be much greater.

Trump said Tuesday [Dec 3, 2019] at a news conference during the NATO summit in London. “I just had a 95 percent approval rating. Trump has consistently had support in the high 80s among Republicans -- strong, but not a record for a president of that party. George W. Bush had an approval rating of 99% after the Sept. 11 attacks, and his father, George H.W. Bush, saw 97% approval ratings after the Gulf War. And, more important, polls show that even Republicans who profess to support him harbor doubts.

Roughly a fourth of Republicans tell pollsters that Trump is not honest. A third of GOP voters say they believe he committed crimes before he was elected. And an average of polls by FiveThirtyEight shows that one in 10 Republicans think he should be impeached. Link

It's the 3/4ths of Republicans that think he IS honest that worries me.
 
The pardoning list reminds me of Terry the Toad from American Graffiti going into the liquor store, and trying to hide the fact that he's buying liquor by getting a bunch of other innocuous items with it.

Terry: A Three Musketeers, and a ball point pen, one of those combs there, a pint of Old Harper, a couple of flashlight batteries and some beef jerky.
