And let's look at Trump vs Buttigieg say from a Christian perspective. Trump is a serial adulterer and non-stop liar. The lord hates a liar. If you're going to condemn Pete, you also have to condemn Trump.

I think that, perhaps, "a Christian perspective" is worth little more than a bit of toilet paper, at this point, given how thoroughly far too many "Christians" practice and preach a Christianity that has been twisted thoroughly into nothing more than an excuse for horrors. It may be worth understanding that Christianity isn't even close to as noble as the facade that loyalists would have one believe - in much the same way that the US' history isn't even remotely as noble as those same loyalists would have us believe.

I understand your point. But it is damn hard to justify saying Mayor Pete is the immoral un-Christian one of the two. And while right wing evangelicals have almost made anti-homosexuality a part of their religion, they are just a portion of those who identify themselves Christians. And they were unlikely to vote for a Democrat anyway.

Trump is the one appointing Barr, Kavanaugh, endorsing their right to discriminate based on religion, etc. They won't have any more problem with cognitive dissonance than they already do, which is not much at all.

You're describing those who are not going to cast their vote for a Democrat anyway. Not every Christian is a literal Leviticus believer. Think about it for a moment. There are many homosexual men in the clergy. And their parishioners know it and accept it.

I can not say America is ready to elect a homosexual President. But I did not believe the country was ready to elect an African American president either and yet they did.

I think it's all about the candidate. The right one can overcome a lot. The wrong candidate can't overcome very much.

Who cares? One turd interviewing another.

I remember watching some caucuses in 2012 when the Republicans ruthlessly cheated the Ron Paul movement in favor of the Mormon moron Mitt Romney. Back then they preferred losing against Obama over having their corporate grip challenged by Paul just as much as the corporate Democrats prefer to stop Bernie and have an equally weak candidate lose to Trump this time.

I think Ron Paul is a lying POS. I've had ZERO respect for him for decades. And his son has proven himself to be just as bad. Romney can be a phoney at times, but he has more character and principles in his toenail clippings then Ron Paul has ever had.

Tulsi Gabbard is an awful candidate and has almost no support. She is DOA. Absolutely no chance.

Who cares?

You obviously do since you posted the interview.

This thread is about Democratic candidates for President. Tulsi Gabbard may have announced she is running, but she didn't win a single delegate in Iowa and she won't win a single delegate in New Hampshire either. She has about much chance of winning the Democratic nomination for President as I do. Probably less.

That she has decided to be interviewed by a right wing nuttier than a Payday bar Ron Paul says a lot about who she is and what she is about.

Where do you get that? Unless I'm reading your link wrong, it has Klobuchar in 5th not 3rd.
You seem to be looking at the "average" they gave over 5 or 6 polls.

I think the other poster was looking at just the latest of that group (such as the Emmerson poll) which does show her in 3rd.

Gawd, you people are reading far too much into my replies, as usual.

When someone makes a claim or holds a suspicion like "Bernie won't be popular with non-progressives because of X" and we reply to that claim, how does that make us any more emotionally invested in our candidate than any other posters?

Where there's smoke there's fire right? So instead of speculating about how hard the S-word will hit, let's check the polls, which give us a broad picture of support. Cabbage has provided those polls and they show Sanders is indeed competitive in most areas, including the battleground states, with Trump. Nationwide polls also show he's got the biggest appeal over Trump. Are they Gospel? of course not but if we're going to talk about electibility we have to go there.

Do you want us to scream VoteBlueNoMatterWho! until we are blue in the face?

What in the blue **** does this have to do with any of my posts?

Belz... it is my understanding (I'm not gay) that one of their frustrations is that opponents think being gay is limited to what they do in the bedroom. You might want to rethink your post.

But being gay IS limited to that. What is being gay if not whom you have sex/romantic relationships with? Did you mean imagined divine commands?

Except those two polls only included 2 counties.
