Nancy Pelosi, who has already lost the House & Speakership once, & is about to lose it again, is doing everything she can to delay the zero Republican vote Articles of Impeachment. She is trying to take over the Senate, & Cryin’ Chuck is trying to take over the trial. No way!....

....What right does Crazy Nancy have to hold up this Senate trial. None! She has a bad case and would rather not have a negative decision. This Witch Hunt must end NOW with a trial in the Senate, or let her default & lose. No more time should be wasted on this Impeachment Scam!

We’re currently at about 2.1%, pretty darn anemic historically.

And that economic growth is accompanied by a huge increase in the deficit and fairly low interest rates, both factors that will be problematic if/when the economy starts to falter and the government has no way to provide stimulus.

For the most part the numbers lower than that are during recessions or meltdowns.

Are you standing by your assertion that the current 2.1% is unprecedented? Trump had crowed about up to 6% GDP growth as a result of his tax cuts.

As Segnosaur just said, large increases in the deficit and debt to go along with what appears to be a failed “stimulus”.

This. One would tend to notice if $390 million that was supposed be in your bank account, isn't there.

I agree with your assertion... anyone who believes Zelensky didn't know the money wasn't there yet is ignorant.

Are you suggesting the '2.1% growth rate' quoted earlier is wrong?

If so, the chart you referenced ends at the 2018 annual figures (which does show a 2.9% growth rate). However, the figures for 2nd and 3rd quarter of 2019 show the growth rate between 2.1% and 2.2%.

In that case it depends on what your definition of 'anemic growth' is. The economy has certainly had slower growth in the past. But then, its also grown faster. Your own reference has shown growth topping 5% multiple times... in the 30s, in the 60s, 70s, and 80s..

I inherited quite a bit of money a while back. (At least it was a lot of money for me) A relative passed away without a will. i was one of 7 heirs. It wasn't contested by anyone. But a lawyer was hired to sell the assets of the estate and dispurse the money. I was the liason to the lawyer. The process lasted about 8 months. So all of the heirs had a vague idea of how much money they would inherit. My guess, is I received a call from every one of them almost weekly about how much they would specifically inherit and when they would receive their checks.

So if you don't think someone about to receive 391 million dollars wasn't aware, then you are clueless about human nature.

From what I'm reading, that story reports an allegation made by a PI company in Florida.

So essentially, it's a report of claims made by a private investigation agency that was hired by someone who is currently suing him.

I live in Arkansas, and there's no mention of any criminal probes related to this anywhere; one would think a major scam run by a democratic candidates son in a red state would get some sort of press coverage.

I may be wrong, but until there's actual evidence I'd take this with a grain or two of salt.

Ok.. "Unprecedented" was a poor choice of word..

Still, the economy has fared well under the Trump administration, an there is no reason to believe it would not continue to do so for another four years..


Not that I believe it could not do as well, or better, with a change in leadership..

So if you are the lawyer, don't get caught telling the client to lie, but if you are the lying spouse, under most circumstances nothing happens to you.

The point is, cheating or trying to cheat on your election is political corruption, and illegal. Lying about a BJ is a civil matter and doesn't rise to the level of trying to cheat on the election.
Can we please stop bringing this false tu quoque up?

For those who claim no advantage to the Dems in holding back for a while... Here's your clue to how it rankles Trumpy, who wants a speedy 'exoneration'. This delay hits him where it hurts. And he'll be more likely to do something *really* stupid and revealing.

There is a bit of wiggle room, he said that his relations with Monica Lewinski " did not constitute sexual relations as he understood the term". One could argue that he really believed that blowjobs are not sexual relations, in which case he would not be lying but merely mistaken.

I think we all can be confident if this was Trump Jr. it would be presented in screaming front page headlines in all of fake news, aka corrupt mainstream media.
