I never understood wind. You know, I know windmills very much. Gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes & everything.
Yeah, I remember my first beer.

For Democrats, turn out in 2020 will be decisive. Trump has a number of second term issues going for him (except that almost nobody wants a tweet out of him in 2021 and later), listed here. But is this one item correct? I can't tell from myself as I fell into a low income low tax bracket with retirement.

this article says a 70 000 earner would gain about $1000
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/23/who-is-saving-the-most-money-from-trumps-tax-cuts.html

My VERY quick-and-dirty calculation:

A family of 4 with an income of $73000 in 2017 could have taken a standard deduction of $12700 and 4 exemptions at $4050 each, leaving them to pay income tax on about $44000. This left them with a tax bill of around $5700.

Following the 2018 rules, they could have taken a standard deduction of $24000, leaving them to pay income tax on about $49000. This left them with a tax bill of around $5500.

If I've done this correctly, they saved about $200 rather than $2000.

Trump Tweets

The Democrats and Crooked Hillary paid for & provided a Fake Dossier, with phony information gotten from foreign sources, pushed it to the corrupt media & Dirty Cops, & have now been caught. They spied on my campaign, then tried to cover it up - Just Like Watergate, but bigger!

Is that for real?

Yes. This is from a speech he gave today to a conservative group, Turning Point USA Student Action Summit:

We’ll have an economy based on wind. I never understood wind. You know, I know windmills very much. I’ve studied it better than anybody I know. It’s very expensive. They’re made in China and Germany mostly — very few made here, almost none. But they’re manufactured tremendous — if you’re into this — tremendous fumes. Gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything. You talk about the carbon footprint — fumes are spewing into the air. Right? Spewing. Whether it’s in China, Germany, it’s going into the air. It’s our air, their air, everything — right?

So they make these things and then they put them up. And if you own a house within vision of some of these monsters, your house is worth 50 percent of the price. They’re noisy. They kill the birds. You want to see a bird graveyard? You just go. Take a look. A bird graveyard. Go under a windmill someday. You’ll see more birds than you’ve ever seen ever in your life. (Laughter.)

You know, in California, they were killing the bald eagle. If you shoot a bald eagle, they want to put you in jail for 10 years. A windmill will kill many bald eagles. It’s true.

And you know what? After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off. That’s true, by the way. This is — they make you turn it off after you — and yet, if you killed one they put you in jail. That’s okay. But why is it okay for these windmills to destroy the bird population? And that’s what they’re doing.

What is quite amusing is that, just after Trump says this, an audience member yells out "Because they’re idiots!" How's that for irony?

ETA: The man is incapable of maintaining a coherent thought. He rambles all over the place. He sounds like a drunk on COPS.

ETA: Read the entire speech if you really want an excuse to bang your head on the desk. It's truly a marvel of stupidity. Ironically, every time he opens his gob, he just makes Obama look better and better.

I thought this was posted here but it may have been in another thread:

Ttump Tweets:
Crazy Nancy wants to dictate terms on the Impeachment Hoax to the Republican Majority Senate, but striped away all Due Process, no lawyers or witnesses, on the Democrat Majority House. The Dems just wish it would all end. Their case is dead, their poll numbers are horrendous!

You know, I'm never sure if he's doing this sort of thing on purpose.

If he is, it's really stupid.

If he's not, HE'S REALLY, REALLY STUPID.

WOW! Just when you think the MORON couldn't tweet aomething dumber than his last tweet he proves you wrong.

Note how he says in the first sentence that he never understood wind. And then in the second sentence he says he know windmills very much. Either he does or he doesn't. And don't get me started on the grammar of those sentences.

And somebody tell me what this means.

"You know we have a world, right? So the world is tiny compared to the universe. So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes & everything."
Huh?

I'll have what he's having.

I'll have what he's having.
Adderall.
Adderall is a combination medication containing four salts of amphetamine. Adderall is used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy. It is also used as an athletic performance enhancer and cognitive enhancer, and recreationally as an aphrodisiac and euphoriant.

A couple of other things to keep in mind:

- The republican tax cuts have increased the deficit. This means that while some taxes may have been cut, eventually the added debt will have to be paid somehow (likely in either tax increases in the future, or in decreased services.)

- It should also be noted that many of the tax cuts (mostly the ones that benefit the lower/middle classes) are actually set to expire in a few years time, whereas the tax cuts that benefit the wealthy will be maintained.

- Much of the focus is on the reduction of income taxes. Yet as a result of the republican tax bill, some taxpayers may actually see their income or wealth decreased in other ways.

1) The dropping of the individual mandate will lead to an increase in the number of uninsured individuals, and possibly an increase in insurance rates for others

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5944881/

2) while the tax rate is lower, some homeowners will be affected by the reduction of certain deductions related to mortgages

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/how-home-owners-win-and-lose-under-the-new-tax-law-2018-06-11

https://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/article/tax-changes-hurting-housing-market/

So overall? Rich people benefit now, and will always benefit. Poor or middle class people may or many not benefit NOW (some may be better off, some are worse off) but in a few years they will all be hurt.

If you were a teacher and a student wrote this, would you give him a passing grade?

If you were in a bar and some guy said this, would you suggest he drive his car home?

If You were an employer, and an applicant said this, would you hire him?

Well,

He's not a student.
He does not drive (anymore?).
He is not up for hire.

Seriously, does Trump have a driving license? Actually, I can not imagine him driving a car. That would require way too much attention and focus for him.
