Considering I just had a discussion with a Trump supporter on Instagram and she genuenly did not believe Trump had lied about anything or contradicted himself... I belive you.

I really am convinced most, if not nearly all of his current supporters are safely ensconsed in comfy little social media bubbles, into which no Trump-critical content penetrates, and anything they don't like must be lies from the evil MSM. It doesn't matter what he does if his disciples only gets information that's carefully spun and filtered.

I travel a lot and most of that travel is in rural America. There are much fewer radio stations and most of them are right wing radio stations. And if I'm lucky there is a diner that serves a great farmer's breakfast and inevitably there is a TV on tuned of course to FOX News. Yes, they are in a bubble. If you listen to these right wing stations, they are as one sided and lie as much as Trump does. I love engaging the rednecks. but I have to do it carefully. But between the nutty evangelical influence and people like Limbaugh bombarding them 8 hours a day you can see how they reach their conclusions.

It may have shifted... but it'd hardly be the first time that Republicans brought up Impeachment. Also, well... this speaks for itself.

I think the easiest example for them to digest would be the lies about his providing a ten percent raise for the military after they haven’t had a raise in ten years. Even the Military Times points out President Trump’s difficulties with the truth. I can’t imagine anyone on the right accusing that news source of being in league with the godless liberals.

As I’ve said before, I am fascinated by someone who claims to be a financial genius bragging about providing a 10% raise to people who haven’t had a raise in 10 years. That’s not really something worth bragging about.

Does that mean tomorrow Mulvaney will be saying, “Of course it is a crazy idea. It makes no sense at all”?

I particularly like the passive voice in his original statement. We have absolutely no idea who said that it wasn’t a crazy idea and that it made perfect sense.

Honestly, the way that was said got me to envision them passing around a pipe of marijuana and talking about how amazing and deep everything that Trump suggested was.

I thought I was doing something very good for our Country by using Trump National Doral, in Miami, for hosting the G-7 Leaders. It is big, grand, on hundreds of acres, next to MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, has tremendous ballrooms & meeting rooms, and each delegation would have...

.....its own 50 to 70 unit building. Would set up better than other alternatives. I announced that I would be willing to do it at NO PROFIT or, if legally permissible, at ZERO COST to the USA. But, as usual, the Hostile Media & their Democrat Partners went CRAZY!

....Therefore, based on both Media & Democrat Crazed and Irrational Hostility, we will no longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as the Host Site for the G-7 in 2020. We will begin the search for another site, including the possibility of Camp David, immediately. Thank you!

I actually see this as significantly good news. Why? Because it indicates that Trump is feeling vulnerable. It indicates that there are cracks in his "I could shoot somebody in the middle of 5th Avenue" perception.

That's good, because it indicates that he genuinely thinks he's in trouble.
 
Well, you know, there was discussion in the past that Trump was playing the dumb guy as a sort of reality-TV façade for ratings or just to appeal to his base. But with the letter he sent to Erdogan, I've now dismissed that possibility. He really is an actual idiot.

For that to work they would need to be insulated from most of what Trump himself says or tweets. Or they would need to be idiots.
