Debating whether this should go in the Mueller thread or here, but its not specifically about Russian interference and obstruction....

From: https://www.cnn.com/2019/05/23/politics/stephen-calk-paul-manafort-indictment/index.html
federal prosecutors unsealed an indictment Thursday charging a banker with bribing former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort with $16 million in loans in order to secure a high-ranking position in the presidential administration. The banker, Stephen Calk, never got any of the positions he sought in the Trump administration, including secretary of defense, secretary of the army and secretary of the treasury... although as a result of Manafort's influence, Calk was interviewed for a senior role. And when Manafort defaulted on the loans, the bank...incurred a multi-million-dollar loss.

Remember, Trump defended Manafort as a "good person".

When Trump says someone is a "good person", what he really means is that they're a 'good (at-scamming-the-system) person'. For some strange reason though, he's always forgetting to tell us that middle part.

How about this:

You actually cite, with real references, the exact quote you're referring to...

... And then I'll tell you straight up about how few ***** I give about whatever rando twitter babbling or off the cuff brain fart you thought was so important to call me out on.

I mean, Mr. Big Abrain, right there.

I realize this is a small thing, but you excuse the big things too. Are child internment camps pretty benign, you think?

This is pretty benign, when you think about it. A social-media savvy demagogue with totalitarian ambitions would have been a real nightmare. Instead we got a half-assed real estate magnate doing jackass grandpa tweets while he sits out his term. It probably doesn't get much better than that, in this particular scenario.
Believe me, from this side of the Atlantic, Trump is most definitely a real nightmare. He’s also a half-assed real estate magnate, but the two are not mutually exclusive.

By the way, all the evidence shows that he is social media savvy.

Here's some more stoopid:

- Believing he's the best negotiator and can successfully negotiate with North Korea where every other previous president for the past several decades has failed... but The Donald is special.

- Assuming Kim Jong Un is his BFF.

- Assuming Putin is his BFF.

- Promising americans he'll bring the country back to its mid-century glory days of manufacturing.

- Beautiful clean coal... and how he's going to reignite the coal mining industry.

- Thinking he can lie about paying off his magazine-spanking porn toy and nobody will find out.

- Lying 10,111 times (and counting) and thinking nobody will notice and/or debunk them.

- Hiring nothing but the best people. People like "Sloppy Steve", "Wacky Omarosa", "Moderate Dog Mattis", "Mr Magoo Sessions", "Dumb-As-A-Rock Tillerson", "Dumbo Alles", "Mr Peepers Rosenstein"

- Fixing healthcare is easy.

- Building a 3000 km wall metal slat barrier fence is easy.

- Trade wars are easy and the 'other guy' pays the tariffs.

The personal meeting with Putin in Helsinki

...yes, once this idiot no longer has the power to do stupid things, no one will care what stupid things he says. People care about the stupid things he says because he can and does do really stupid things.

And, FWIW, the stupid things Trump tweets will likely be his legacy; a warning to future voters that when people say Trump-like stupid things, you shouldn't allow them anywhere near an elected office. At least, until he's so far in the past that people forget history and it repeats itself.

Trump's Presidential Library should very interesting!:jaw-dropp

What would you say is the really stupidest thing Trump has done while in office?

That's like asking a parent which child they love the most. You love different things about each of your children, but it's difficult (if not impossible) to answer which one you love the most.

Trump Tweets

I was extremely calm yesterday with my meeting with Pelosi and Schumer, knowing that they would say I was raging, which they always do, along with their partner, the Fake News Media. Well, so many stories about the meeting use the Rage narrative anyway - Fake & Corrupt Press!

Congratulations to Prime Minister @NarendraModi and his BJP party on their BIG election victory! Great things are in store for the US-India partnership with the return of PM Modi at the helm. I look forward to continuing our important work together!

Trump likes the idea of right wing religious wackjob in charge of a country. Big surprise.
Of course, when Modi starts to harass Christians in India..as he probably will..he does not like any non Hindus, period....Trumpy will do a 180.

Weeeee! $16 billion dollar bailout aid for farmers. And China's gonna pay for it!

By the time the trade war is over, will the bailout aid for farmers surpass the $700 billion dollar bailout aid for banks?

Winning!

I take back what I said about Trump's new best buddy, Modi harassing Christians in the future. His party is already doing it now..along with harassing Muslims, SIkhs, and anybody else who is not a Hindu.
Trump inevitable U turn on Modi when this become apparent is going to interesting.
I guess that Modi does not like Muslims sort of blinded Trump.

Why would there be anything at all in the Trump library?

It would all be redacted anyhow.

Well the Daily Show did have a travelling exhibit of the Donald Trump twitter library. Is that close enough?

Personally, I wonder what his long-term legacy will be. Reagan had an airport named after him. Jimmy Carter had a nuclear submarine. Ford has an aircraft carrier, a couple of roadways and an airport. Assuming justice is served and Trump ends up impeached and/or in jail, will anyone bother giving him any similar honors? The Donald Trump Municipal landfill? The Trump River (one that's been polluted with coal ash)? The Trump swamp?

That's brilliant

My personal favourite: Trump v Trump

I hope the only thing left with his name on it will be the nameplate on his jail cell.
