The Trump Presidency 14

Odd tweet... I don't understand that bit. Isn't Obama like the worst president ever in Dobbs' mind?

He is implying that Iran’s approach is disrespectful to the United States - an approach that would have been successful under Presidents Bush and Obama, but an approach that will not go unpunished under President Trump.

........
Aside: I expect media professionals to use the appropriate title when referring to Presidents Bush and Obama.

He doesn't need banks but used Deutsche Bank? Eh?? He conducted real estate deals with the cash he keeps under the mattress? (Big mattress, mind)

Haven't you seen or heard those commercials?
"Get rich in real estate with no money down! Buy a seat in our seminar to find out how!"

He obviously knows the secret too.

Oh, so he's not a fan of Obama OR Bush. Jesus, the right has some wackodoodle pundits.

the only way to elevate Trump is by dragging others down.
Luckily, that is what a certain breed of pundits does best.

Looks like Bernie Sanders is history. Sleepy Joe Biden is pulling ahead and think about it, I’m only here because of Sleepy Joe and the man who took him off the 1% trash heap, President O! China wants Sleepy Joe BADLY!

On this Cuban Independence Day, we stand by the people of Cuba in their quest for freedom, democracy and prosperity. The Cuban regime must end its repression of Cubans & Venezuelans. The United States will not stand idly by as Cuba continues to subvert democracy in the Americas!

Trump Tweets

The Fake News put out a typically false statement, without any knowledge that the United States was trying to set up a negotiation with Iran. This is a false report....

....Iran will call us if and when they are ever ready. In the meantime, their economy continues to collapse - very sad for the Iranian people!

They're leaving because the Republican Party wasn't listening to them anyway.

Their absence isn't going to change anything.

Republican policy will continue to get worse than it already is until it costs the Republican pols their jobs and power, or at best until they feel those things threatened.

That doesn't look to be happening any time soon. Many of them have essentially burned their bridges behind them so, for them, there is no going back.

Republicans have spent decades creating a political environment where the negative impacts of their policies simply don't matter. It may have started with the best of intentions, to find a way to promote unpopular policies that better educated people knew were good ideas, but once in place they have been turned to increasingly terrible policies.

So now the President openly proclaims he is above the law.
Am increasingly concerned this is not going to end peacefully.

Business is basically theft withing legal regulations. Creative businessmen like Kushner push the legal limits.

What a bunch of crap.
And what would you replace Private Business with?Total Government control of the economy? News Flash: It has been tried and has not worked very well....
yeah, Kushner is scum, but to tar all business men with being crooks is a bit much....

Trumpy is also heighting the rhetoric against Iran.
I would like to think this is just Donnie sounding tough for his demented base, but I have a sick feeling he is going to pull the trigger as soon as he finds what he thinks is a good excuse..and he will find an excuse.
I have no love for the Ayatollahs (who,l when all is said and done, call the shots in Iran) and would view their demise with all the regret I would have for a dead skunk, but war with Iran would be a horrible mistake..unless we had no choice (ie;they do something totally insane like back a Terrorist attack on the US...and I don't see that happening.).

I have a feeling a military action in Iran will be a massively unpopular war here at home, especially when the first American casualties are reported. Remember, Trump's history is, good starts are followed by disastrous finishes. He calls his own shots, rejects advice -- the football league, the airline, the casinos, the university -- and then it always turns out-

He really didn't know what he was talking about. And that's not Fake News! :(

Agreed on all counts.

Such a war would not end well.

I do, however, have a most perverse desire to see how he will blame the deaths and the cost on President Obama.

Trump seems to prefer saber rattling to actual military action at this time. Bolton seems to be the one really pushing for it with help from the neo-cons. The bigger problem is Bolton has a history or lying and cooking up evidence to get America into war like he did with Iraq.

I did suggest a couple of years ago that he was Greg Stillson. Having Bolton on the team isn't going to slow his ambitions.

Can you file Chapter 11 for wars?

That's too easy - if Obama had been tougher on his muslim pals, you wouldn't have needed Trump's heroism to sort it out.

Yup. Remember "Fire and Fury", before he went and became BFF's with "Little Rocket Boy"?
The Iraq war, 2003 version, should have resulted in Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Bolton in prison.

Trump is loopy and off-the-planet AF. But Bolton is criminally insane.
