David Icke's Visa Cancelled

But in Icke's case, he believes that the conspiracy is a small group of powerful people, some of whom are Jews (all of whom happen to be alien reptoids). Not the same thing at all.

It is the same thing. Read his quote again:

I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War...

The primary subject and main focus here is Jewish clique. The fact that they "work with non-Jews" is a side-note.

Icke believes the Protocols is a real thing. He's an anti-semite.

And we conveniently leave out the mass of Jewish people who not just have nothing to do with the "small clique" but are held in contempt by it, according to that sentence.

Because for some reason Icke must be an "anti-semite" even if he clearly isn't.

I guess it has something to do with defending idiotic decisions by weak governments.

Textbook quote-mining. I thought that was something skeptics were opposed to.

The fact that he names some non-Jews as reptilians doesn't mean that he isn't anti-Semitic, because he still believes in and promotes the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion - a known hoax.

He doesn't believe in it as written, he believes the conspiracy is not a Jewish conspiracy, but a conspiracy of reptoids, some of whom are masquerading as Jews, most of whom are other figures of power and influence.

Correct on all counts.

It's also interesting that the quote arthwollipot came up with is from the same decades old book from the same chapter that Sideroxylon tried as an argument with me upthread to prove that Icke is "a holocaust denier". It's on page 120 while we were discussing page 118.

It's almost as if they all come up with the same google results.

A nut is a nut is a nut.

But there's still levels to it.

I mean, there's a difference between a nut in the local park, yelling at the pigeons and telling you he's got a wizard in his shoe, and a nut standing outside a synagogue, shouting at all of the Jewish people leaving and telling them he's got an oven in his shoe.

David Icke is a nut, but I don't think he's a particularly hateful or harmful nut, he's just a daft twat.

That is an old trope of anti-semites though, it goes back to at least the protocols of the elders of zion. The small clique of evil jews that uses the rest of jews as cover to hide their evil plans, has long been an excuse to persecute all the jews.

Personally, I think Icke is an anti-semite, but he's one of them there self-hating anti-semites. He's somewhat ashamed of it and decided to call them reptilians instead.

On the other hand, I once heard an interview with a Jewish conspiracist, he had the same basic set of villans as the anti-semites, Bildebergers, Rothschilds, etc. He just called them NAZI's. So, Icke may not be an actual anti-semite, I just suspect he is.

You can define the term in any way you want, you will just have problems communicating with people who use the common meaning. The term "anti-semite", although it literally means being against people who speak a certain set of languages which includes Arabic and is as silly as they get, is used to describe people who hate Jews because of their religion and/or tribe/race. David Icke couldn't be further from hating people because of their "identity".

You can watch his usual stance on the issue here (2018):

Now whether "Rothschild Zionism" exists or not, this is what he's ranting against. Not "Jews".

And white-supremacist conservatives like to claim liberals who advocate social welfare are the "real racists".

Icke's anti-semitism is indicated by the belief in a "Jewish cabal" that is pulling the world's strings. He doesn't need to believe every single Jew is part of it to be an anti-semite (though many do).

Fine, except that's not what he believes. He believes there is a cabal, the Illuminati, pulling the world's strings. They are all reptoids; some of them are disguised as Jews, but only because some of the world's important people are Jews. Other members of the cabal are the UK Royal family, others include most of the US Presidents, and ancient Egyptians. He appears to have no prejudice against anyone for simply being Jewish.

You didn't mention the two Canadians in the cabal. Are you racist against Canadians? Or, is mentioning the Canadian reptoids in the cabal being racist against Canadians?
I'm getting confused as to who I should hold in fear and refuse to allow entry into my country. :p
It would be much easier to just let people with strange ideas into my country and let the public and media examine their statements and destroy their stupid ideas by the use of logic and critical thinking. But hey - who on a board that is supposed to be a bastion of logic and critical thinking is going to agree with that? :D

I don't have any problem with the principle of a sovereign state refusing access to visitors from another country for whatever reason, I'm just pointing out that, in my opinion, and that of people who actually know him, Icke is not anti-semitic. So, if that's the reason for refusing the visa, that is bogus.

No, that's not true at all. He believes that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a legitimate document, and the Protocols (if you're not familiar) is a document which purports to detail the plans of a specifically Jewish cabal to use various means to dominate the world for the benefit specifically of Jews. Of course the alleged Jewish cabal is willing to work with non-Jews to achieve their "goals"; that's also a part of the conspiracy theory. That doesn't change the fact that it's "powerful Jews" pulling the strings, according to the Protocols.

He also believes this Jewish cabal worked with some non-Jews to perpetuate the Holocaust. This is Nazi apologia, it directly relieves them of ultimate culpability for their atrocities, again putting these at the feet of "powerful Jews" instead. It is definitely anti-semitic. Again:

I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the Second World War....They then dominated the Versailles Peace Conference and created the circumstances which made the Second World War inevitable. They financed Hitler to power in 1933 and made the funds available for his rearmament...

The subject of this quote is Icke's "small Jewish clique". Every instance of "they" in the quote directly refers to this Jewish clique, not any of the non-Jews they "worked with".

The real reason David Icke insists that he isn't anti-semitic is because he believes anti-semitism itself was created by Jews:

Thought patterns in the collective Jewish mind have repeatedly created that physical reality of oppression, prejudice and racism which matches the pattern—the expectation—programmed into their collective psyche. They expect it; they create it.

Maybe, I'm too familiar with the Grand Conspiracy of Jews but its worth pointing out, it almost always includes the elite Jew cabal willingly sacrificing the masses, even or especially the Jewish masses. Icke's thing is literally just doing a word search for "Jew" and replacing it with "Reptilian".

I had no idea that Icke also believed in "the Secret".
