I think it's sort of like how the media's (and maybe this forum's) supposed left wing bias results in better treatment of conservatives than liberals. Never miss an opportunity to point out an error by the more liberal side in order to look impartial, but go easy on the conservative side because of all the squawking about liberal bias.

I stand by what I say and I reject the accusation that it was "bothsidism."

The bulk of people made up their mind on what Trump is or isn't guilty of a long time ago. The release of the Mueller report wasn't going to have a huge affect on the general public's view of Trump regardless of what it says.

But your hissy fit is based upon a misreading of my post. It isn't the fact that China hacked us that I blame on Obama. It's the fact that there was no response. China paid no price for it. And yes, Obama is responsible for that.

I'm not familiar with McConnell's role in that, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was disappointing. So let's say that I'm provisionally disappointed in him too.

I don't find anything breathless or even unusual about this report, it seems like straight-up news reporting of the kind that most news media organizations routinely produce. Not to say there wasn't a lot of bad news involving Trump. There definitely was. But it was news.

Here's an entire chapter of an upcoming book full of examples of media being overly exuberant, many of which still have no corrections or retractions.

ETA: In my life, it seems, it's the information I want to be true that is often the most disappointing.

It's also that prior to post 1877 the poster in question did not adequately express(YMMV) his view that Democrats could be handling this a little better .
 
Okay so Trump didn't collude.

Why did he lie about the Russian Trump Tower deal? Why did he and Jr. repeatedly lie and change their story about the meeting at Trump Tower? Why did numerous members of Trump's staff lie about connections/ meetings with Russian agents? Why did they intentionally have meetings with no records of it, or what they talked about? Why did he repeatedly attempt to obstruct the investigation like firing Comey "over that whole Russia thing"?

I guess the take away is that our President didn't collude with Russia. Instead our President is only a lying corrupt idiot.

I wonder how many Trump voters who have been questioning their decision will be firmly back in the Trump camp for 2020 as a result of this report.

This word "collusion" has always been a distraction. If people work together to commit or plan a crime, they are engaging in a conspiracy, a crime in itself. If they are working together for a legal purpose, they may be cooperating or coordinating or collaborating in ways that are not criminal. Trump may not have actively conspired with Russia, but using his position to promote his financial interests in Russia and elsewhere and publicly embracing Putin against American intelligence agencies led by his own appointees sure is not the conduct we expect from our President.

There was no response? Wasn't there a 2015 deal? Did the Chinese actually attack the US government, or private companies? Two separate things there. Private companies should have to manage their own technology, and security especially. That's the name of the game. You're comparing apples to oranges. Unless, of course, you're referring to something else. In which case I would like a link. I don't expect one, I would just like one.

That's hardly an answer to the questions asked. How about actually giving serious answers a try?

It's no news that Trump is a prolific liar. There are over 9K examples recorded. But that does not answer the question of why did he lie about those things The Animus listed.
