How can it ever be as simple as doing the right thing when different political parties have completely different ideas of what it means to do the right thing? In 2019, it has gone so far beyond the parties having different values that it is now at the point that the two parties cannot even agree on the definition of words.

It's actually difficult to execute humanely. No drug companies will allow their products to be used. How are you supposed to test that the person has been executed humanely?

Innocent people have been executed before.

Who cares if hundreds or even a few thousand innocent people get executed when what really matters is we get our revenge on those horrible guilty people?:rolleyes:

And the executive branch is given the expressed authority to commute sentences (and even pardon convicted people). Right?

I don't think he's actually commuted any sentences by this action. The folks on death row still have death sentences, but there's a moratorium on carrying the sentence out. If Newsom or the next governor reinstates the penalty, these folks still may be executed.

I don't know what grants the governor the right to put a moratorium on capital punishment, but I haven't heard anyone squawk that he hasn't the right, so I reckon that he has.

Just spoke to Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors about the Lordstown Ohio plant. I am not happy that it is closed when everything else in our Country is BOOMING. I asked her to sell it or do something quickly. She blamed the UAW Union — I don’t care, I just want it open!

OMG, if denial had it's own diagnosis, these people would be as mentally ill as Trump.

Not to mention, doesn't Trump think the DNC and Clinton are responsible for the dossier?

Clinton wasn't wrong when she said some of Trump's supporters are deplorable. They are.

Who knows what he truly believes? He's constant about very little and says whatever is advantageous for him at the time.

He has the right. He can commute sentences or pardon as well. Governor Inslee of Washington did the same thing. Illinois governor a few years back commuted all their death sentences as well.
