Rather "he describes and quantifies" some form of 'superconductivity' of his own regard.

They are however currently mass produced specifically "because of quantum theory". I'm currently in such a production facility surrounded by banks of scanning tunneling electron microscopes and atomic force analyzers used in such production.

Guess who was Mills' inspiration for a classical physics approach to quantum phenomena ? Hermann Haus, his engineering professor. Yet look at the 'quantum' nature of Haus' research:
https://physicstoday.scitation.org/doi/pdf/10.1063/1.1712509
All theses types of things Mills can describe classically.

The fact that the first article is entitled "Hydrinos Are Back" should tell you that it's not the first time Randi had heard of them. As I said, there are other articles written by Randi on the subject. I'm sure you can find them, if you're really interested.

It is interesting to note, however, how quickly your opinion of Randi has changed from him being someone who "would know what was a trick and what wasn't" to someone who is prone to coming "under [people's] spell". The only thing that's changed to cause this complete and total 180 from unimpeachable authority to total dupe is that you've gone from imagining that he would agree with you to knowing that he doesn't.

In matters of this type of science Randi deferred to others. Otherwise he could think quite well for himself. I admire the man. Again no one's perfect. Not even Mills.

I think the Man has described the origin of the centrifugal 'force' pretty well. It's due ultimately to the inertia of mass in a tangential direction. But it is directed radially outward as an equal and opposite reaction to the radial inward centripetal force of the thread attached to the ballbearings.
I think your description of the satellite falling is good.

No, again there is no actual radially outward force on the ballbearings. Cut the string and they continue in the tangential trajectory. The "equal and opposite reaction to the radial inward centripetal force of the thread attached ballbearings" are the intermolecular forces that hold the string together. Again the rigidity of the string. Just as when standing on the floor it is the rigidity of the floor that provides the "equal and opposite reaction" force to your weight.

Think of a pull toy, pull the string and the toy moves. There is no equal and opposite reaction force on the toy itself. However, the string is in tension due to its internal reaction forces, again its rigidity, of transferring the force of your pull to the toy, not some opposing force pulling the toy the other way.

ETA: I should also include the regigity of the toy or ballbearing as part of the reaction force. Agin those are intermolecular force that hold the body together not some force pulling it the other way.

ETA2: Think of the round up ride at a carnival, that reverses the application of the centripetal force. Now instead of pulling that force is pushing. The internal force on you is compressive and your "equal and opposite" intermolecular reaction forces resit that compresion.

Who cares, it doesn't make what Mills "describes and quantifies" anything other than just some form of 'superconductivity' of his own regard. Nor does it remove the specific and direct application of Quantum Mechanics from the mass production of "semi conductor / transistor and lasers" as noted.

And we should not forget that Mills’ most, um, famous application of his “theory” (hydrinos), is something he has failed to do anything with, despite ~30 years of trying.

But the long wait will soon be over ... in ~two months BLP will - as markie has promised - provide ~five working prototype hydrino-based generators to truly independent test sites. Maybe we should start a countdown? :p

Really? Got any support for that? Last I heard, there was no credible evidence at all of Mills ever attending MIT.

Yes, thank you for pointing that out. Interesting, I'm trying to imagine a point particle with infinite density yet finite mass. Those singularities really are special. :)

What's the density of a (surface of a) sphere particle with finite mass?

So apparently I'm now promising five working prototypes. Fascinating. I never imagined I was in a position to promise anything of the sort, let alone five of them.

Why, then, did you say that he's know whether or not he'd been tricked, and that he and Mills would be friends based on Mills' work?

Randi said what he did back then, without the benefit of seeing what we see now on Youtube, nor did he have the scientific experience to evaluate Mills' publications himself. So he relied on certain others to inform him (a mistake in this case) when normally he would do the investigations himself.

Fair enough. The "five" may be some dark matter/hydrino induced delusion, but perhaps not the promise? Or perhaps I was just a tad careless in how I worded my sentence, insufficiently distinguishing what you promised and what that promise should mean? :p

What did you say, if not a promise?

And, given your apparent - and to me at least, remarkable - degree of insights and understanding of the workings of BLP and its, um, prototype hydrino-based generators, you would seem to be in the best possible position of anyone who's posted to this thread, to say when we will arrive at the Promised Land (well, the OP - michael suede? - aside). :p

What did you learn from your last visit to a certain address in NJ, not far from Princeton?

My hilite.

So far, the lack of any working prototype hydrino-based generator would seem to suggest that Randi was spot on, and that Mills' ideas are rubbish, scientifically speaking.

But, as I keep saying, we have just a few more weeks to wait before the world will shower praises (and vast amounts of $$) on Mills' head (or not). :p

Invest everything your can into mill's research now. Even sell the house to help make it possible. It will be FREE energy after all but for some odd reason it is costing a fortune in bumbled research...

We need those working prototypes badly.

Really? Got any support for that? Last I heard, there was no credible evidence at all of Mills ever attending MIT.

From Brett Holverstott's book, page 20:
"In 1982, Mills started at Harvard Medical School. He moved rapidly through the required coursework, taking six or seven classes per term... By the fall of 1985, after only three years, Mills had completed all the required coursework at Harvard Medical School. This was unheard of, and Harvard asked Mills complete a final year, so Mills spent it at the Graduate School of Engineering at MIT. "

Now you have something concrete to check out. Year and everything.

As Mills explains in a footnote at the bottom of page 59 (2018 edition), the mass of the orbitsphere displaces spacetime so that the orbitsphere, although having zero thickness, has a non zero gravitational thickness. Schwartzchild metric and all that.

It won't be even close to free, and the vast majority of people are not accredited to invest.
