Jesus Christ, did Pelosi hand Der Trumpenführer his arse today or what... a funding deal to prevent the government shutdown, with the Dems not conceding a single, solitary penny for his wall, and with the House still holding a GOP majority too!!

Trump is simply nowhere near smart enough to deal with Pelosi. She is very intelligent, very savvy and very experienced, while Trump is just clueless.

She will run circles around Donny for the next two years!

:popcorn1

More importantly, Republicans know that they can deal with Pelosi, but can't with Trump.

The top-rated comment on Breitbart from a user named "To Hell with Democrats":

Sorry President Trump I no longer believe you and this beautiful wall. If you REALLY wanted to give us the Wall you'd stop caving in and VETO, force Congress to add the funds. I don't give a damn if a bunch of Bureaucrats don't get paid, I don't care that Congress might not be paid shut it down KEEP YOUR WORD!!!!!!

You're beginning to remind me of Schwarzenegger AKA GirlyMan.

You're I promise to Veto is about equal to the kid who cried Wolf. I am TIRED of it Mr. President we're ALL getting tired of it.

To those replying calling me a Liberal, I don't mind because I know better, and I supported Trump but I am just flat out tired of his TALK, TALK, FUUCKING TALK and nothing gets done.

My posting history is open for any and all to read, try that before talking out your asses.

Looks like you have a soft spot for Mr. Iran-Contra.

Hey criminals make the best presidents for republicans, or at least all republican presidents now need to be criminals of some form.

Is it better to have a financial crime president or a war crime president?

When you combine this extreme degree of corruption with a degree of sloppiness that puts a sloppy joe to shame, the great unraveling of 2018 was inevitable.

Someone that corrupt and that sloppy was going great guns until he erred and decided to run for President. (Run, he never actually wanted the job, he just wanted to agitate and advertise).

That seems to me to be indicative of a much more ingrained and cultural issue in US (and UK, there are parallels here, where Uncle Sam goes, we, apparently, follow) than simply ending up with a man like Trump as president.

Trump Tweets

Col. Jim Carafano on @IngrahamAngle
“Trump has made the Middle East a better place. When Trump came into office, ISIS was running amuck in the Middle East. Over a million refugees poured into Western Europe - none of that is happening today. That’s all due to Trump.”

“Trump gets no credit for what he’s done in the Middle East.”
@IngrahamAngle
So true, thank you Laura!

“I’m proud of the President today to hear that he is declaring victory in Syria.” Senator Rand Paul.
“I couldn’t agree more with the presidents decision. By definition, this is the opposite of an Obama decision. Senator Mike Lee

Getting out of Syria was no surprise. I’ve been campaigning on it for years, and six months ago, when I very publicly wanted to do it, I agreed to stay longer. Russia, Iran, Syria & others are the local enemy of ISIS. We were doing there work. Time to come home & rebuild. #MAGA

As a counterpoint

Last week Brett McGurk, special presidential envoy for the global coalition to defeat IS, told reporters at the state department: "Nobody is saying that [IS fighters] are going to disappear. Nobody is that naive. So we want to stay on the ground and make sure that stability can be maintained in these areas."

He has since added:

"Does the USA want to be the Policeman of the Middle East, getting NOTHING but spending precious lives and trillions of dollars protecting others who, in almost all cases, do not appreciate what we are doing? Do we want to be there forever? Time for others to finally fight.....

....Russia, Iran, Syria & many others are not happy about the U.S. leaving, despite what the Fake News says, because now they will have to fight ISIS and others, who they hate, without us. I am building by far the most powerful military in the world. ISIS hits us they are doomed!
"

Now that we've defeated ISIS, someone else can fight them.

ETA: and more -

"The Democrats, who know Steel Slats (Wall) are necessary for Border Security, are putting politics over Country. What they are just beginning to realize is that I will not sign any of their legislation, including infrastructure, unless it has perfect Border Security. U.S.A. WINS!"

"With so much talk about the Wall, people are losing sight of the great job being done on our Southern Border by Border Patrol, ICE and our great Military. Remember the Caravans? Well, they didn’t get through and none are forming or on their way. Border is tight. Fake News silent!

Russia belongs in the Middle East ... and we don't.

Interesting. Do you think he actually understands that he is saying this, or is it just more of his unthinking verbal diarrhea.

I'm mostly concerned about the next two weeks. The PDJT will be desperate to try anything before Democrats get control of the House in January.

So the US is getting out of Syria because ISIS has been defeated, and Russia doesn't like this because it means it will have to continue fighting ISIS?

Anyway, RT - the Kremlin mouthpiece news outlet - says Russia is happy with it. You'd think they'd know.

he sounds an awful lot like Manafort who, after having spend his Russian bosses' investment money promised to pay him back through access and influence to Trump.
This might be Trump's way of paying Putin back.

Au contraire. Trump is playing chess in 0-3.14159265i dimensions. The continuing resolution expires in February. Trump knows his chances of funding the wall will improve after more Democrats are seated in the House and Pelosi replaces Ryan as Speaker.

Another site I frequented designated magenta text as their official "sarcasm font". It was an incredibly useful decision. I was being sarcastic, mocking the way Trump would no doubt reference it.

Ann Coulter is a racist moron. She's mad that Trump isnt going to shut the government down.

Never mind that the Trump administration announced today it is removing sanctions against some Russian companies. That the US is abandoning Syria to Russia, Iran, Turkey and Iran.

Russia is ******* thrilled. US Allies are pissed.

Hells, she's upset that Trump didn't direct the Army Corps of Engineers and the Seabees to start construction of the wall in his inauguration speech.

45's been doing his very best to vex the US's allies and cozy up to it's rivals since before he took office.

In other news, There is a GoFundMe for the border wall. Nearly $3.5m raised so far of a $1b goal.

So it seems that Republicans have resigned themselves to the fact that Mexico is not going to pay for the wall and have decided that they will instead.

I noticed this being discussed in the breitbart comments section that Cain posted a few posts up.

It was noted, although i don't know whether this is true, that congress cannot take this money to allocate to building the wall. Also, at the rate they're going, it will take years to reach the goal.
