White House Survivor

So much for “friends and relatives” for CoS...it’s just down to “relatives” now.

ETA: “Hey Bart? Brad? No...Baron (that’s it)! You want a job?”
Well, what about Frank Giaccio? He's the 11 year old boy that had his wish fulfilled to mow the white house lawn. Its winter, so they don't need much yard work; maybe he can take over the job of Chief of Staff.

I'm still holding out for Jose Canseco though. He wants the job too.

And we have a winner (although only an acting winner):

"Mick Mulvaney, Director of the Office of Management & Budget, will be named Acting White House Chief of Staff,"

Trump on Twitter

"I look forward to working with him in this new capacity as we continue to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! John will be staying until the end of the year. He is a GREAT PATRIOT and I want to personally thank him for his service!" Trump tweeted.

Two whole weeks.

I think Mulviney takes over..temporarily...when Kelly leaves in two weeks.
I guess this means the search goes on for someon willing to take the job on a permanent basic.
But with Donnie, who knows>

Which, of course, creates another vacancy. When all you can do is shuffle people around, you aren't getting the problem solved.

Given that Kelly wouldn't give Kushner the time of day, this might be a way to transition from one to the other via an interim CoS.

Why can't Donnie do what he has done for many ambassadorships and departmental heads: Don't bother filling the position at all. He takes zero notice of his CoS anyway - it's just a whipping-boy position for him, or perhaps her thinks it's a personal coffee-fetcher. Anyway, it's clear Donny doesn't actually want a CoS at all. Perhaps one of the table lamps in the Oval could be promoted??

I am quite sure her does!!!!

Donnie says of his new Chief of Staff:

Leg Lamp is a hell of a lamp! She'll do a TERRIFIC job. I've known her a long time. She's very bright and upstanding! Nothing shady about her for the Dems and FAKE NEWS to attack! They won't have a leg to stand on!

Trump's palpable desperation to name a new Chief of Staff is underscored, in surreal manner, by Mulvaney's insisting on "interim" title, and by Mulvaney on record calling Trump a "terrible human being".

While I can't prove it, I brim with confidence when I speculate that no POTUS has ever appointed a COS who is on record calling that POTUS a terrible human being.

Another First for Trump!

He just keeps racking 'em up. It's astounding.

This Mulvaney business demonstrates in the starkest terms Trump's desperation to appoint as COS *any sentient creature* not requiring to be Shanghai'd in order to paper over the debacle surrounding Pence's boy.
