Agreed. Cohen repeatedly said he took responsibility for his actions. Sometimes I wonder if there actually is another dimension of reality for some Trump supporters. It totally explains how they view things.

Perhaps I was not clear, perhaps Mike Avenatti can help to clarify:

"This is laughable. Cohen committed multiple crimes, continued to lie about it for mos, including as recently as July to Mueller’s office, and now wants sympathy by using the “unite the country angle” (which has nothing to do with his crimes). Cohen thinks we are all stupid."

Mystery Mueller mayhem at a Washington court

The mystery of the subpoena appeal appears to date back to early September, when CNN witnessed several lawyers from Mueller's office entering a courtroom to argue against an unknown defense team before a trial-level judge who oversees federal grand jury-related cases.

Shortly after, that judge, Chief Judge Beryl Howell of the DC District Court, ruled on a case related to a grand jury subpoena, and the losing party attempted to appeal the ruling. The appellate court batted the case back down to Howell, who held a second sealed hearing on October 5. Though CNN was locked out of the courtroom while the arguments took place, the hearing featured the same team from Mueller's office as before, which included top criminal law appellate lawyer Michael Dreeben.

That same day Mueller's team clashed in a sealed courtroom with an unknown opponent, Howell issued another ruling on the same grand jury subpoena challenge she had decided before, sending the losing party back to the appellate court to ask for reconsideration.
Politico a few days later overheard an attorney at the appellate court discussing sealed Mueller court filings -- and the mysterious grand jury challenge got its argument date set before a three-judge panel at the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

Then, security officers cleared the appeals courtroom, allowing only about a dozen law clerks working for federal judges to stay behind, including at least one who assists Howell with her cases.
Security guards also cleared the vestibule to the courtroom and checked the coat closet where attorneys coming to listen to arguments stash their belongings. They locked the door leading to the attorneys' lounge on that floor and shooed the more than 20 reporters prowling the hall away from the elevator bank and told them to vacate the nearby stairwells. At one point, even an elevator wouldn't open its doors on the fifth floor.
The entire level of the building on which the appeals court is housed was locked down.

McCabe and Comey held off telling the Attorney General that they were interviewing Flynn, and Yates was not happy to hear that.

It appears that McCabe deliberately misled both Flynn and the AG and Comey was part and parcel of it.

Disgusting.

That whole crew, including who deliberately leaked the ******* top secret info about the call to the Russian Ambassador should be investigated, and that includes Obama.

The Flynn 302 was prepared 6 months after the interview.

Mueller did not give the Court a 302 prepared immediately after the interview.

Unclear whether Strzok screwed up or Mueller's pitbull destroyed it like he did in the Enron case.

Strzok was aware that people at DoJ/FBI argued about the decision to interview Flynn.

Remarkable.

As far as I can tell, they did not produce a 302 of the interview with Flynn. The Document that they were relying on appears to be a 302 of an interview with Strzok!

This interview was taken after Page left and just before Strzok.

Where is the Flynn 302?

they said they documented it in the 302 but did NOT produce the 302.

this utterly amazing. I hope that the Judge realizes just what type of games the Mueller cabal is playing here

We had the ex Trump official who recently said Trump would say to do things that are illegal, it seems very unlikely that he didn't act that way outside of being POTUS.
 
Given that 302, it appears that Flynn was led to believe that the purpose of the visit was to aid in finding out who violated the Espionage Act by leaking the transcripts.

Did we have one of the single most dishonest pricks sending another dishonest prick to interview the victim of the crime with the intention of setting a phony section 1001 claim?

In guesstimated chronological order -- likely wrong in places:

1. Flynn omitted payments received from Russian entities from disclosure form.

2. Flynn operated as a Turkish agent without following disclosure law.

3. Flynn lied to Pence. Pence repeated that lie to the press.

4. The moment the lie was public, Flynn is setup for blackmail by the Russians. Obviously.

5. Trump repeated Flynn's lie to the press. I don't think we have specific evidence that Flynn lied to Trump. Maybe Trump was parroting what he heard. Either way, Flynn allowed that lie to stand.

6. Flynn lied to the FBI. The notion that he was a poor little baby who needed to be informed that lying to the FBI is naughty is flat out surreal.

7. Flynn was fired by Trump, for the stated reason that Flynn lied.

8. Flynn admitted the truth only when presented the precise text of intercepted communication with Russian actor.

9. Flynn admitted lying when he plead guilty.

Knowing this, presumably, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) says:

Judge Sullivan ordered Mueller to produce Flynn's 302 by 3:00 Eastern

Mueller did not do it.

that is all you have to know about that.

the order wasn't to produce it to Flynn, the order was to give it to Sullivan.
