But what really be eating on Donnie is that ,although neither side looked good in this fiasco, the Democrats came out better, beating Donnie at his own reality TV game.

I doubt he recognizes that. In Trumplandia, he always wins. Remember, he tweeted that "This totally clears the president. Thank you!" when the Cohen sentencing file was released implicating him in two felonies.:boggled:

Something I noticed in that meeting was that both Pelosi and Shumer addressed Trump as "Mr. President" whereas he called them "Nancy" and "Chuck". This is a classic power move; he's putting them in an inferior position by showing lack of respect. He is not on a friendly, first name basis with either of them and he should have addressed them "Senator".

Between this and Pelosi's, "We need to strive for bipartisanship" verbal syrup of Epicac after the midterms, I wonder if the Democratic Party is ever going to shed this notion that they're still playing by the same rule book.

I don't suggest they lower themselves to the same naked power-grabbing WWE rules, but FFS, show some backbone.

I don't think that's possible. Trump has gone so low for so long he should have the title of Limbo King.

Um so, why would our president want to look like a little bitch on international TV? This afternoon was kind of odd. Not that I'm a great fan of Nancy Pelosi but did it not occur to our president that she got to where she was by nailing testicles to the wall? Trump should try to remember that he's not playing in the kiddie sandbox of New York Real Estate anymore and he's in the gladiatorial arena American politics. Clearly the one was ill preparation for the other.

What's eating Trump is Fake News misreporting this encounter in which he forced Pelosi and Schumer to admit they don't want open borders, which he keeps saying they do. A win for Trump, but you won't hear that on CNN.

At the same time he's put a great big gilded Trump sign on a government shutdown should one occur, while giving the Democrats opportunity to stress how much they don't want a shutdown. So much winning. I really think the Republican Party is getting sick of it.

I think Pelosi and Schumer came out looking fine, considering that they actually wanted to have a private meeting, apparently to avoid embarrassing Dolt 45 in public. He's the one who insisted on the meeting being in front of the press, presumably so he could preen and bluster.

I'm sure his delusional base thought he came out ahead, and looked "tough" or whatever. Obviously, he looked like an idiotic weakling who desperately wants to look better than he was. I will say, though, I do like how he turns bright red and angry like a videogame boss when he's being defeated.

Ah but Trump may be crazy like a fox, you know? He doesn't want The Wall; he doesn't give a damn about The Wall. He just wants everyone to know he's fighting for The Wall. He got to say "we need a wall" about a bazillion times. Why would anyone think he has to deliver? He can just tell the public that the wall is finished, Mexico paid for it and it's working great.

On the other hand, I'm wrong about public opinion a lot. Just when I think his supporters will believe any crap he dishes out, they might suddenly get suspicious.

I don't remember him ever admitting before that there isn't going to be a 2,000-mile-long barrier, but I think he did today.

Anyone who thinks a wall is going to put much of a dent in illegal immigration by building a wall is an idiot. Very few illegal immigrants enter the US that way. There is also 12,000 miles of coastline. As General Patton said 'fixed fortifications are monuments to the stupidity of man.

The Democrats have to keep pointing out these things.

1. Trump told everyone that Mexico was going to pay for his stupid wall so don't come to the American taxpayer for the money.

2. Trump has had a GOP House and Senate for the last two years and even they didn't want his stupid wall...So what makes Mr. MORON think the Democrats are going to piss billions down the toilet. I mean we know Trump is into golden showers, which is fine if that's how he gets his freak on. Just don't ask the American public to join in his game.

Best estimate I can find is 65% of net arrivals are visa overstays.

He's been in the public eye for decades, and no, he's not. He's just some guy with no positive character traits, who was born into wealth and is desperate for attention and respect, but couldn't manage a Foot Locker.

That's about it. Anyone still supporting this moron (and YES, Tillerson did call him that) is either beyond stupid or simply cannot admit being wrong. Or both. Sadly, so many people fall into that category.

I'm guessing that "agree with one of his bad traits" counts as "beyond stupid" here? eg. David Duke, Richard Spencer, and other white nationalists?

Because I'd agree with that :D

Trump is disappointed yet again. TIMES MAN OF THE YEAR doesn't go to him but to Jamal Khashoggi and other journalist killed/imprisoned for speaking the truth. Suck it up, Trump.

It's actually PERSON of the year. Which could have worked in Individual1's favor as he does not qualify for 'man'.

In the end, considering how important good journalism is, and the threats that good journalists face, this is well-earned. I'm sure some will claim that it's self-serving, which it may be to a point, but as I said, it's absolutely vital to get accurate information to us.

I wonder if this event was supposed to distract from The PDJT's not getting the TIME magazine award. "Hey, I'll have this meeting and everybody will be talking about that instead!"

What he didn't count on was what came out of that meeting was far worse than anything he could have imagined. It seems like this is the first time he was in a meeting in public where he was outnumbered. (Pence of course did not figure in at all this time.)

I'm not a journalist and I wanted it to be khashoggi.
